  1. I haven't heard that name mentioned in about a year, that's now 3 times in one day. He scored a hat trick today for some Romanian mob and won a pal of mine money. Earlier we'd watched a documentary on the train about Euro 2012, where he was mumbling on about not qualifying, robbing *******.
  2. No amount of 'match day experience' will ever stop the rot, whats possible anyway? Beyonce lookalikes and more mascots? It'll still be -10 degrees in the wind down the dump this winter, it'll take a hell of alot more to get folk in. You know it wouldnt even make a difference giving seats away for a quid each, if there is no investment in the playing staff then why should the people of Inverness be expected to care about the club? Would there be a difference if Hayes, Tade etc were persuaded to stay on with contract offers, upto a year/6 months before their deals ended? This business of having players earn new deals is of no benefit to ICT when the new deals are being offered are by rival SPL clubs, if a player proves their worth with regards to a new deal they should be rewarded with one instantly, this last minute stuff just winds the fans up. anything else is just re-arranging the deck chairs on the titanic and i bet they had proposals, action plans and delegations for that aswell
  3. may well be a live 3pm stream too if its on Alba
  4. I'd give away 1500 free school tickets per game against the likes of Kilmarnock, they would never all turn up and with the number of schools between Elgin and Thurso there would always be takers. Give interested kids a voucher for a parent. Kids who couldnt go with their parents could be mobilized through schools with subsidised coaches and supervision, coached in groups could easily be segregated together when you're cramming 3000 folk into 7800 seats. Would all take cash and a bureaucratic headache for some dedicated soul but if we're going to make any sort of progress, then initiatives like this can't be half-arsed. Should be viewed more as an investment than a marketing campaign, you'll get more of a return out of it in the long run than you could from any player brought in on the same money.
  5. what a *******, im off folks

  10. Tuffey Duff BigInnes Munro Tokely ------------------Shinnie Duncan---Proctor Blumenshtein Rooney --- Foran Then we just wait for the next round draw...... edit: Blumenshtein only starts to give him the chance NOT to be punted in January sales, otherwise Cox, Ross or Eric slot in.
  11. If that turns out to be true then IMO theres a hell of alot wrong with the team. I would agree with Clacher ..... If we are so one-dimensional that we can only perform with Jonny in the team then we are in trouble because that means others cannot or will not step up and start to perform without him and that attitude, if it exists, is BS. Equally worrying is that opposition sides will/already know that if we continue to perform this way, all they have to do to make us innefectual is to close him down. A few folk need to up their game to a level we know they can already perform at .... stop leaving it all to Jonny and start working harder. Ryan Esson is excluded from this rant as he is already working harder than we would like him to have to !!! Much like the forwards who have avoided criticism when the defence has played well, Hayes own performances shouldnt be exaggerated because he wasnt in the last 3 losing sides. He can produce the goods often enough to make him immune from this but his early season form has made him over confident and ball greedy when in positions to let others score. Not a single player in that side besides Esson is as good as they think they are, all of them need to work for each other to make up the shortfalls, thats what any team should be doing.
  12. If that turns out to be true then IMO theres a hell of alot wrong with the team.
  13. When I lived in Sussex they experimented with 24 hour licenses, about a dozen clubs took them up. Obviously for the first week it was chaos but as regular punters got used to the freedom, the police found there was alot less binge drinking and thus an awful lot less violence. The bars themselves actually took less money than they did with the curfews, people were leaving clubs between 1-5am with no pressures being put on the chip shops or taxi's, again decreasing possible congregating points for trouble. The flashpoints you see around the country at closing time are always in small market towns like Inverness, competition demands that each bar has to squeeze the maximum amount they can out of folk on a Friday/Saturday night, which of course leads to everybody spilling out onto the streets at the same time. Its a human thing, people generally work better to deadlines and targets even if they arent especially hard working.. the same mechanism drives people to push their drinking a little further than they really need too when theyre told "YOU CANNOT BUY ALCOHOL AFTER X O'CLOCK". Humans are fairly simple creatures. A homeless person would probably get more money from passers by if they held a sign up saying 'NO MORE THAN ?10 PER PERSON', than simply asking for some change If the curfew goes, people will drink less over a longer period of time, life would be easier for those working in the town center and the police.
  14. +1 on the glad its over side. It's just disappointing that its come off the back of 2 home defeats. Our winning run away from home shouldnt be a factor at all in preparing for a match, of course theres pride to be taken in such a lengthy run but you should only look back and pat yourself on the heid if you feel as if you deserved it. We rode out luck in an awful lot of games over the past year, in both the SPL and the SFL, has everyone forgotten how favourable the refs were to us on our promotion charge? How many penalties has Adam Rooney scored ffs? I agree with tm4tj when he says that something has crept into the players attitudes when it comes to defending, seems to be desperate. Also good defending has masked some poor forward play from Foran and Rooney especially, lets hope thats done away with aswell, we need everybody kept on their toes. I dont like it when Terrys post match comments include lines such as 'the lads are really enjoying themselves at the moment' when Rooney misses a 1 on 1 v Rangers or Duncan gives the ball away for the 10th time in the middle.. Butchers comment should be 'the lads are relieved to have got away with that, they all love Esson'. When you praise the team as a whole for a good defensive display, it doesnt allow the more forward players to develop, especially the younger guys.
  15. Of course he isnt going anywhere but theres no doubt some questions need answered.
  16. You'd be surprised, I've seen 5 ICT games against non-OF teams live on a Saturday afternoon in the past 2 years. Anybody with a BET365 account will know that they stream live French, Russian, Portuguese, Dutch, South American and any other league that isnt covered live in the UK... of course only UK based users can see those ones with local users in those countries being blocked out. Without going too far, I'd say do a few Google searches in Latvian, Swedish and Turkish, you'll find them betting 'in-running' on Scottish 3pm games, sometimes with a stream.
  17. I had no idea the fixture was ever in doubt, not a bit of snow in Edinburgh this past couple of days and even the icy pavements are clear now. Fingers crossed.
  18. Just very frustrating, our manager really does have to address how we approach these home games mentally. Need to concentrate 100% for 90 minutes without drifting off. have to put everything into a game like we seem to do away from home when the team spend a full morning focusing on it, its not like they have to do much the other 9990 minutes there are in a week. How long do the squad spend together before a match? If its just the 30 odd minutes pre kick off then maybe that needs to be looked at, I can imagine on an away trip it isnt just the bus trip that bonds the team and keeps them focused, their routines in and around away grounds are probably very different than they are at home. Do the team meet away from the ground and travel together like alot of sides make their squads do or do they just meet at the Stadium? Reality check landed though, well done Motherwell.
  19. As much as I think this dougal lad is on the wind up, he is correct in saying our stadium is pretty terrible and in an awful location. It never bothered me when I lived in Inverness but I know that it does put people off, how many fairweather fans there are I've no idea, nobody does. Right now our stadium solely caters for supporters who are driving to the ground, comfortably at least. For me any future move has to consider that not everybody wants to drive to a game, theres no way to tell if a move to a more central location would discourage fans who had to park further from the ground on a match day. What I will say though- I live down the road from Tynecastle in Edinburgh, 6 days a week the traffic jams up almost constantly and there isnt a parking space anywhere near the stadium. The nearest train station is a 20 minute walk away and the taxi's are the most expensive in Scotland, on paper the stadium is in a horrible location compared to ours in terms of access. Thats if you define access as being able to park a few feet away from the stand you'll be sitting in and having the ability to make a quick getaway at full time, without wanting to make any compromises whatsoever. In terms of catering and 'refreshment' options around Tynecastle, they are on a different planet to us. It's already been said that in the past these stadiums were built on old playing fields, they had to be near where people lived as most folk had no choice but to walk. Thats true but now fans are willing to make a little sacrifice in terms of how far they can park from the stadium if it means they've options on where to eat/drink around the ground. Also the traffic around a tight urban space such as Gorgie never really gets that bad for more than 10-15 minutes, as not only is everybody heading in different directions after the game but also not everybody has parked their car in the same place. I've no idea if access is a big issue or not but we would only gain support by moving to a less isolated site.... all said it doesnt really matter as we're stuck with one weird stand and two lego ones, in the middle of nowhere, for a good while yet
