  1. Inspiring stuff from the gritty young Turks, I love their resilience and passion for the competition no mater the score. It's upto the other pampered young sides in the Netherlands and Portugal, who have so far not had to prove themselves when behind, to show they have the stomach for it as far as I'm concerned. The Turks are an aggressive and determined side, who play as a team with no shortage of ability, I'd love to see them go all the way and am really looking forward to their quarter final v Croatia. It should be some game.
  2. Have to say I've been more impressed with this Toroto performance than I've ever seen from the MLS, the quality of games I've seen in the past has been literally laughable but TFC are playing with a bit of pace and focus so well done to them, 3-0 just now and they arent slowing down. :015: Tam Macanus is on the deck again, the guys useless but the commentators have been hyping his career something rotten.
  3. If we end up with Bayne, Marius and the younger guys next year I think we'd be well covered. Though the chances of both staying is slim, so maybe we are in touble.
  4. "Surprised" :015: :015: Has be the understatement of the summer.
  5. As far as I'm concerned theres two Italians behind the ball so its a goal. Well done the officials but how did the linesman know the ref didnt give him permission to leave the park?
  6. Great player but what a lazy git, we knew that anyway though :015: Give hi the ball in and around the box and he'll make something happen, looking forward to his easy games coming up.
  7. :017: Please sign him.
  8. Bloody France! They missed Henry didnt they, still were the better team, think against more ope opponents theyll do better.
  9. Tonights the last chance for 10's on France to win it lads.
  10. He led the line brilliantly in our first SPL seasons as I've said before, he had huge amounts of potential even for a player in their mid 20's but it hast quite materialised for me, I hoped Msrius would be the key but sadly not. Strong, quick, hardworking and a potent finisher, hes been all of these things at one stage or another but just hasnt been able to string more than a couple of excellent games together in the last 2 seasons. A real shame as he's made his contribution, should he go then I for one will wish him well and say thank you.
  11. The bookies would love you to put money on Portugal, theyve been ramping them for ages now as they know the mugs will back any game Ronaldo plays in. He is a luxury player, when his team is playing well he shines, when they are not he goes missing. He isnt a leader on the park the way Drogba or Messi are (if we're talking about one man teams at their level then these are the best two examples), he cannot take a game by the scruff of the neck out of nothing or dictate play. I'm not saying he isnt a match winner but he cant be relied upon, Turkey are the weakest sides in the competition this year after the hosts, I expected Portugal to press on against them but it never happened. DONT BELIEVE THE HYPE, PLEASE!
  12. I've tipped up at least one finalist from each of the last 2 Euros and 2 World Cups I'll have you know! I did say elsewhere on the net at the time Greece were being terribly under rated at 7/2 to Qualify from their group but didnt tip them to win, given that theyd won all but one game in qualifying for the 2004 tournament, I also said that tournament was the weakest in years. I thick this one is weaker and having seen a potential candidate tonight in Portugal I'm even more confident the French will win it this time. Romania will lose by 2 goals sadly, leaderless Italians ad the lightweight Netherlands are there for the taking though.
  13. france will steamroller them sadly, its the italy and holland games he could really make a mark in
  14. Which is tomorrow (Saturday) :015: Sorry I was in Betfair time when I posted that, all the events are listed a day and an hour behind, I'm just used to it!
  15. Listed on the Romanian FA website as the 31st?
  16. Steve Patterson, no question he shouldnt be involved
  17. 9 out of our 13 home tops have had stripes. It'd be a shame to lose them but sounds like its too late to have a say on it.
  18. His legs have gone, no strength or power anymore, would be a total liability against a forward of even Wyness proportions, nevermind Nicolae or Hesselink
  19. Betfairs brilliant for live streaming football, they add games every day so if youre on there keep an eye out for it. 20. :015: Thanks for that. The games on Sunday anyway, I'll put a link up for it on here though you may need to open an account with Betfair or bwin.com as itll likely be one of those two showing it.
  21. This topic has been moved to NON - ICT. [iurl]http://www.caleythistleonline.com/community/index.php?topic=7040.0[/iurl]
  22. Cant see any other friendlys their playing before the tournament. As a wee preview for this game its interesting that Montenegro as far as I know won their first ever international against Khazakstan on Tuesday night, there was a huge gamble on them the day of the game all over Eastern Europe with lots of dodgy cash going on them. Anyway the gambles out the way so I'd expect a reasonably competitive game here and this is as good an opportunity for Marius to add to his international tally as he'll ever see. On the flip side theres no questioning the quality of opposition is low and a poor show could put him and others in danger of not getting into the final squad.
  23. Would be very happy if this was available for all games barring the Old Firm at home.
  24. Not a total disaster by any means, good luck to him in Paisley. I think this will be a terrible signing for St Mirren, nor saying Wyness is a terrible player but they havent got the squad to suit his game.
