Our neighbours put out the begging bowl
Caley Thistle initiatves have been quite good - names on the away top, brick at the stadium, car boot sales etc. It generates cash for the club AND gives something back to the fans / offers a service. This new appeal from County is as Old Caley Girl stated in her title 'putting out the begging bowl'. It's not offering anything in return. Not to say it's not a bad idea however. If it raises cash then it's a great idea. But if there is nothing in return for the fans that donate, then it literally is begging and can't be compared to offering services such as car boot sales or names on tops

That club from Dingwall
The Lowland media seem to be saying this as well Laurence. But the clue is in the name. Ross County represent the whole of Ross-Shire. It is sparcely populated but probably the population of a large town such as Falkirk. There are so many teams clustered down in the Lowlands and up here there only 2 professional teams. Roy McGregor became Chairman in 1996 and has ploughed a significant amount of cash in. McGregor has made his money from oil - and there's plenty of that off the cost of Ross-shire. He is an excellent chairman IMHO and unlike many clubs down in the Lowlands, County have a real community spirit about them. For many years, County have been organising training camps all over the Highland and Islands for school children. I know someone from Barra who supports County. Why? Because as a school kid County went to Barra and did a training camp. So, in a nut shell, Dingwall may be a small town, but the club are extremely well run.

SPL NewCo Rules Situation
I'll still go to games. I generally only go to away games (missed 2 games in 2 seasons) and attend 4 or 5 home games per season. However, I shall never attend Snake Mountain again. I'm happy to attend any other stadium but if Newco Rangers get straight back in, I shall just pretend they're not there!

MacGregor Comments?!?!
Also, it has taken County 82 years to reach the SPL. Caley Thistle did it in 10 years. :fingers:

MacGregor Comments?!?!
McGregor is always playing the propoganda games. Best to ignore him. Maybe if there are problems with VP and they have to use Caledonian Stadium, he will be a bit more gracious........... and pigs might fly.

New rules Proposal
So they'll be allowed back in but only get a ten point penalty. Pathetic.

Poor Crawley Town
Brewster could be our saviour yet! Hope he goes in for Richie Brittan!
-
That club from Dingwall
That's just daft! We'll be top 6 and they will be bottom 6. So we'll get 9 points off them.
-
Poor Crawley Town
Hope he succeeds at Crawley and gets a permanent deal. He was a good player for us, but terrible manager. However, he is part of the Caley Thistle history and I wish him all the best.

That club from Dingwall
Well done on finally making it to the SPL. Their so called Uncle Roy threw so much money at the club over the years, they should really have been there a whole lot sooner. They always outspent Caley Thistle when we were in the lower leagues, but better late than never. And it will be great for the Highlands.

St Johnstone -V- ICT
I thought the game was very poor. We played well in the first quarter then from there we weren't great. St Johnstone were also very poor and I think a draw was a fair result. The Hayes run and shot off the post was excellent and unlucky not to go in. Golobarts last ditch tackle after Saints looked certain to score was the highlight of the match for me, Lomas was kicking off claiming a penalty and I see he's been saying it in the press today. I am certain he got the ball. We could have won it an the end. I can't remember who it was, but the ball fell to him at the edge of the box and a low shot was saved by the keeper. I think if he had generated a bit more force in the shot then it would have beat the keeper. Away crowd was 247. Poor game but happy with the point.

Rebuild this Summer or Not?
- Do you still believe?
Didn't think we would beat Aberdeen, Thought we would beat Hibs. Thought we would get a point at home to St J. So, for this game.. I don't have a clue!- Post Split Fixtures - Out Now
Tade has already agreed that if we lose the next game, he's walking from Paisley as well- Post Split Fixtures - Out Now
I am disapointed that we don't have another away day at Hibs. It is a very good away day but hey ho!- Post Split Fixtures - Out Now
I'm sure that can be arranged. If you're struggling you could always do the final stage. Innes to the stadium. If your feeling adventurous you could try the Alamo to the Innes and just miss out 1 mile in Paisley and 1 mile in Sneck.- Post Split Fixtures - Out Now
And I was hoping fer two home games in the final week and the biggest pisss up and the shortest march/crawl ever !! And I was thinking you were joining us from Paisley to Sneck.... - Do you still believe?
