  1. Another one that I like
  2. I can't say who as I don't know everyone at the games. Many other folk have a similar story - Dewsbury dude has a good story regarding it which he may have already mentioned. Of course you don't to block views etc but I do like to rise when we are on the attack of the goal and that can cause issues.
  3. Ahh that;s a shame. I'm sure he'll get a job in football somewhere else.
  4. Wow! It would appear that Dunfermline WANT to get rellegated. From a club statement: "For example the switch of our first home game to a Monday evening reduced our attendance and effectively cost some £30,000. Similarly the 2 early kick offs for the televised games damaged the attendances and also the commercial income. Costs have also been hit by the increased requirements of the SPL. For example the Under 19 squad which is a mandatory requirement, will cost DAFC over £60,000 this year. Increasing electricity costs for the stadium come in at over £6,000 per month, and Police and stewarding costs will be over £100,000 this season.""
  5. I think that it is going to come to light that Dunfermline are the other mystery Scottish club that have not paid PAYE. They are cost cutting left right and centre at the moment and I think they know that very soon HMRC will come knocking. Watch this space.......
  6. 0-0 full time. Hopefully he will get into the starting XI the next time.
  7. I feel sorry for the Hibs fans who have paid for train tickets back to Edinburgh thinking the game starts at 12. I see mentioned on p+b a whole family have shelled out for train tickets that will depart Inverness at 1520 after staying over night in Inverness. The game should never have been scheduled for 12 in the first place. The fans are never thought of.
  8. Dunfermline had the bonus of the Sky TV money from the Caley Thistle game. It looks like even without the Rangers money they are struggling. They would not have forecasted the Sky money for the cup game at the start of the season. Bad time times for the Pars.
  9. I think that was a bit of a struggle tonight. However, a crucial 3 points. 3 points clear with better goal difference and 2 games in hand. Both these games in hand are at home - to Morton and the fake Jags. They have to play Falkirk one more time - again in Dingwall. It can still all fall apart, but I think they will win the league.
  10. Crystal Palace have a great intro. The annaouncer says 'Make some noise for CRYSTAL PALACE' The players walk out and 'Glad All Over' is played/ Whilst the intro to the song starts, the whole stadium claps to the beat in unison and then sing the words. Noticeably louder when they sing the chorus. However, we need an announcer at Caley Thistle who is going to shout down the microphone. Really put enthusiasm in to it. We need an announcer like Hearts or Livi - some one who will annoy the feck out of the opposition fans. When we make a substitution, there needs to be more excitement in the voice. Instead of 'coming on for Inverness, Gregory Tade' (clap clap clap). We need something along the lines of 'Coming on for Inverness, Gregory TADEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!' We need the annoucer to go ballistic! However, something tells me that no matter how loud the music is, how enthusiastic the announcer is, our fans struggle to show encouragement. Look around the main stand when we score.. a lot of people don't even bother to stand up! They just give a wee clap... and that's not just elderly people. I see when we make a substitution and the player has played well, some folk try and encourage a standing ovation.... maybe a quarter of the main stand will stand up, and the rest will give them funny looks. Now it's well documented that our away support are more boisterous. If we have say 200 away fans in a stadium, i'd say that roughly 30 will be standing. The 30 will sing most of the match. On an away day, the singers will all bunch together. Like a good number of them, I go mainly to away games. I haven't missed a league away game since the first one of 2010, but i've only been to about 7 home games in 2 years. At a home game I don't sing. Why? Because if I start I get told to be quiet, sit down etc etc. Why would I bother paying money for that experience. Of course at home games, anyone who wishes to sing is generally spread out which is why it's easier to get a wee tune going on an away day. I kid you not, last seasoin when I was at TCS, I heard people in the main stand complaining that the music was too loud!!! However, it's key that we get a tradition going. 'Caledonia' or as Chick mentioned 'Supercaleyfragalistic' at full blast every time the players go out. So, get the music blasting and whatever it is, anyone there try clapping in unison. Clapping in unison to the beat of the music can really make a difference. Here's the Palace song. It would be good if we could follow this kind of example...
  11. I like Chicks suggestion of supercaleyfragalisticexpealadocious (spelling?!) It's very cheesy but it can be made our song - unique to us. Have it blasting out as the players come out and if the fans don't want to sing (especially the main stand) just have everyone clapping along to the beat. Rangers have penny arcade, which again is very cheesy but catchy. Supercaleyfrag... will also annoy the opposition fans if played loud enough. .
  12. 'Real fans' don't hide behind usernames and slag off their club and the supporters. You shouldn't worry about other peoples levels of support.
  13. Not quite on topic but Tom Aldred played in the semi final of the North of Scotland cup whilst playing with us. Biggest cup competition he will ever be involved with.
  14. Well I think the answer has been found. Close the thread now?
  15. I know some folk have said that we are over reacting but it's not the heavy scoreline or even lack of skill that angers me. It's the lack of motivation. Not just from the Rangers game, but many other games this season. For the last few years Caley Thistle have always been renound for their fighting team spirit. It's been there from even the Pele years right up until this season. Even under Brewster, the players wanted to play for the club (albeit many of them didn't want to play for Brewster!) We had guys in the team back then who were underperforming but crucially, still had the club at heart. Butcher helped them find their performance again over the last 2 seasons and we returned to the winning ICT formula of togetherness and performance. This season we have lost both. Performances are poor and pride in the club badge is non existant in some players. In the summer, Butcher will rebuild his team yet again, I really do not know what the future brings for the club. This season, we can say thank feck for Dunfermline (although we're still not out of the woods yet). I worry that next season we will be the team that other clubs use in this quote. I thought the players would be really fired up for the Rangers game, especially after the really poor performance against the Pars.
  16. I'd be starting to worry if I were a gudgie right now. I do think they will prevail however. Falkirk will drop points and County will get a few from the games in hand. It will be tight at the end but I think they will get there.... just.
  17. Joke! Please don't go there! You could open a very large can of worms there!
  18. Are my eyes deceiving me? Who actually took this picture? I take it that's an Inverness Courier photo shop job to make the River Ness look more exotic. However, they forgot to colour in the part of the river underneath Terrys right arm!
  19. What was it covered with? I thought the south end was covered with grass? Tommy Cumming is going to layer the south end with jelly and ice cream tomorrow so don't worry.
  20. Alex, stop pretending to speak Gaidhlaig.
  21. Shoes off if you pay your tax!
  22. MM is just out of picture making the jelly.
  23. Johndo loves the fluffy wool.... and bad grammar it would appear! Aah but is it bad Gaelic grammar or bad english grammar. Bearing in mind that whatever makes sense in gaelic sounds very stupid in direct translation. example: De an t'ainmh a tha ort? What name is at you. Yeah but grammar my English bad is, never mind grammar my Gaelic bad is.

Maybe Capital had a handsome source to check up on a certain one's grammar. Nope.
