  1. Just phoned Caley Thistle. They confirmed that the game is on Wednesday and will be played at Somerset.
  2. A few secret hand shakes going on in that panel i'd imagine.
  3. I'll be going.
  4. If the referees of the future are all in agreement about this, then Terry is right. We may as well stop tackling. How depressing.
  5. Club were unable to confirm day/time this afternoon when I asked and didn't know anything about the official announcement on the Ayr website. Soon as I know for sure then I'll look at the viability of running a bus....even if it's just a minibus. I told the lady from Ayr United that Caley Thistle haven't confirmed the date and she assured me that it is the Wednesday. Ayr are planning for that... I think the 2 clubs need to have a wee chat!
  6. Spoke to Ayr United this morning. They say kick off is definately Wednesday 24th, 7:30 pm. They are confident that the tie WILL be played at Somerset as they are on schedule for the flood light upgrade. If there are any delays it will be announced on website but assume that the game will be played at Somerset. Harry will be happy!
  7. I'm going, but 2 important questions before I do go!!! Any ideas on what day it's being played on?! It's either next Tuesday or Wednesday. Ayr initially said Wednesday on their website, but I see that's been taken down now and back to 23/24. No word from ICT. What stadium is it being played at? Somerset is still replacing / repairing the flood lights and they are currently playing at Cappielow for league games. Any one got any ideas?! If not, I shall phone tomorrow.....
  8. I wish Neil Doncaster would focus on ways to make the SPL more fairer - video evidence, better training etc rather than spending his time trying to get chairmans to agree to relegate 3 teams. Priorities at the top are well wrong.
  9. If it denies a goal scoring opportunity then yes send him off. There's always a chance the keeper will save it.. Regarding the Tokely challenge though, it wasn't even a penalty. It was a very good challenge. Maybe the question should be what does the SFA do about incompetent refereering?
  10. Where's that referree from? I may be wrong in thinking he's central belt based but i'm sure he is. If he is, I'm starting to get pissed off with referees from the Central belt dictating the outcome of the result of football matches in the north of Scotland - especially when a team representing the central belt is playing. What's the fecking point when your up against that sort of pish
  11. They booed Tade the whole match. I presume becase he is ex Raith Rovers. There were a few boos for Gillet when he was stretchered off coming from the stand opposite the main stand - a very small amount of boos. Most Pars fans clapped him off. I think with the stick Tade was getting from the Pars fans, he must have been desperate to get a goal. I don't think he is a selfish player, but he may have just taken a rush of blood to the head. His positional sense is awful, so it may not have even occured to him that he was offside. He has to learn from this. That's Terry and Mo's job to help him on the training pitch. Hopefully they can coach him. Foran must have torn into him in the desssing room. He was livid on the pitch. However, I hope Tade has learnt something from that. It was a mistake, but lets give him a chance and see how he reacts now.
  12. I haven't seen the replay, but I remember him being offside by a considerable distance. As soon as his leg hit the ball I knew the linesman would flag.
  13. His name would be linked through media speculation and people on forums such as pie and bovril speculating. The only truth in the original post is probably the poster or one of his / her friends stating that they want Butcher and then the rumours spread that Bucther may be going to Rangers. I don't think they'd go for him anyway.
  14. Just back in now. Made full use of the bar at the stadium, although it was a bit pricey. We were all celebrating as Forans shot was about to cross the line. As soon as Tade stuck his foot out I knew the inevitable would happen! Tade was all over the place. He couldn't do a thing right. I don't no what happened to Gillet. He slumped to the deck off the ball and I don't get the Proctor sub (unless he was injured but didn't look like it). Tansey was immense again, Jones and Doran were poor today and I thought we improved when Nick Ross came on. Was happy that Tansey ran over to the crowd when he scored his goals (albeit it took him some time to get up from the second when he was down in the goal area.) Nice touch. Not enough players been doing that recently and it helps with the atmosphere / mood of the crowd,. Barrowman got a bit of abuse and had a poor game. My heart was in my mouth when they announced the scorer as Andy..... Kirk! All in all, we were disjointed, terrible in the first half but some good performances in the second half. We still haven't gelled and we need to gel fast or we are going to struggle. Once we gel, we will be fine.
  15. Should be there. Last time I think it was The Elizabethan, halfway between Queen Margaret station and East End Park. Not the most atmospheric of places - personally speaking I think I'd prefer a bar in the centre, but I'll see what the other central belters are planning. Meeting 10 am in Counting House and heading to Eddinburgh between 10 and 11 then up to Dunfermline. You joining us in CH?
  16. What are the dates of the games?

    Heading up on Friday night.
  18. Brilliant! Loved the Colin Baillie reference again! The Fir Park Social Club has to be one of my favourite football pubs in Scotland.
  19. Good work Agent Munro!
  20. Proctor! Oh dear he really was lost again today! Although, we were all slagging him off, it's fair to say it wasn't his fault we lost the game. He was noticeably dire though. There were small flashes of good football from the team. Foran and Butcher have both said to be patient so i'll try my best to do that and hopfully it falls into place. Lets not forget that Well have a very good team and I think they will go far this season. We could have scored a couple of goals as well, so at least we're creating the chances. Tansey had a great shot off the post. No need to hit the panic button yet depsite some of the comments from folk at the game and certainly no need to sing about Grant Munro when they went 2-0 up!!! Great way to motivate the defence!!! Hopefully we can play our usual against Hibs at home and get a boost from that.
  21. Josh Meekings subscribed to twitter the other day. @jmeeks26
  22. Meekings definetly out for about 6 weeks and Reported Cox will miss 'well game at least. No Morrison at all?! Paineyar (spelling) will hopefully take Proctors position. If Tade doesn't play and Foran is up front on his own again I would include Morrison in the starting line up. He's been in form whenever he has played in pre-season. I suspect he will be on the bench though. I would go with a 4-1-4-1 position. Esson Paineyar Aldred Tokely Gillet Morrison Hayes Tansey Ross Doran Foran Or 4-4-2 with Morrison dropping to bench and Tade up front as well. Here's Meekings last Sat in Aldershot. Another 6 weeks until he can play.
  23. I'm going back to Aldershot even if we don't play. What a place, what a welcome, what a party!!! Here's the locals with us about midnight. Spot the 4 ICT fans
