The Pre-Season Thread
I spoke to the club today and was told that no English games have been confirmed yet and they couldn't give me any sort of time frame other than to keep an eye on the website. They need to get better organised.

County appoint new manager
I think he can get them relegated. I don't rate him atall. He is a very unpopular manager. When he left, they were sliding down the league... hopefully he will carry on from where he left them!

Golabek signs for Brora
That's a surprise one. I thought he was going to be Formartine bound tbh. He'll be a strong asset for Brora in HL. All the best!

Best chant of the season
Danny Lennon... your a butler....Danny Lennon...your a bellboy! (Due to that waistcoat he was wearing in our first trip of the season to St Midden.)

Alternative Split
Really? Superb!!!! I like your split idea (although my preferred option is no split atall!) As previously mentioned, the old filth would never vote for it. Also, the point of the split, is that teams fighting for the league / europe are playing each other at the end, and the same with the relegation candidates, which may not be the case with the alternative split idea, so IMO the current split has the potential to create exciting end of season games - dare i say it, our relegation decider with Falkirk 2 seasons ago for example. I dislike however, how we can't finish above 7 now. No split is the best way IMO.

Hamilton -V- ICT : Matchday Thread
I thought we didn't play too bad but Accies were unlucky not to get a point - or maybe another way to look at it is, they didn't deserve anything for the missed chances! An emotional day indeed for Munro and Duncan. Pleasantly surprised by the size of the away support and great atmosphere / singing in the away end. Lots of Imrie chants but nothing of the offensive variety As one of the marchers, i was a bit disappointed with the decision to cancel our pitch march. Unfortunately the police over ruled Accies. Other than this, a reasonable game (2nd half esp.) and a fantastic ovation for the team / management and especially for the 2 legends!

Are these games confirmed or rumours / in the process of organising?

12 years ago to this day.........
I think the game will be remembered for a long time by ICT fans there that day. Was so disappointing at the end when we couldn't quite get that 4th goal. A glorious failure if ever there was one!

Dunfermline promoted
Would have preferred Raith but don't mind going Dunfermline either.

Aberdeen -V- ICT : Matchday thread
Not much to report on game! Dire dire stuff! I know this topic is getting old but it is a talking point - 12 people that I counted got chucked out (there may have been more). Can't be bothered going into all the details but in a nut shell.. Aberdeen fans allowed to stand whole game.. ICT fans told to sit. refusal to explain from stewards and the usual patronising, aggressive tones from them. As someone in the pub afterwards said (can't quite recall who) they should be throwing people in, not throwing people out! There'll be know-one left at this rate!

Roll call for Aberdeen
0741 train from Queen Street with a few others on here..... could be a heavy day!

St Johnstone -V- ICT : Matchnight Thread
Thoroughly enjoyed the game. Best for a few months for sure. PC brigade were there as usual. Flag had to be removed due to it being a fire hazard... luckily the linesmans flag didn't burts into flames and my 3.99 Primark t-shirt managed to last the whole match without exploding! Seriously though, despite the poor atmosphere, I enjoyed the game and fantastic performance. Gillet was a wee bit ropey though - a few stray passes, other than this, job well done.

Dubious Honour (sp)
I can see Accies going into oblivion. Their support is non-existent. Our away day in November there had a crowd of 2,000. Even then they were lying IMO. Hardly anyone there. They haven't won all season at home...I really hope they don't do it against us in May... either way... bye bye Accies!

Fixtures after the split
Red Card will never make that time!!! Brechins at night may be a write off since we're leaving that early...but you never know!
-
The race to the SPL
Ahh I must be mistaken. One person told me but they must be wrong... still we could paddle!

Livingston to move?
They really are a non-club. Maybe they should move back to Meadowbank

The race to the SPL
I want Raith. Found out recently there's a ferry that goes regularly from Edinburgh to Kirkaldy. Train from Glasgow to Edinburgh then a wee boat ride would certainly make the day out a bit different.

Fixtures after the split
At least we'll get the ESPN monies for St J game. Stupid day for a game though. Luckily I don't need to go into work that day. Will likely be a low crowd due to it being a Monday / on TV.

Kilmarnock -V- ICT : Matchday Thread
Hamilton's defeat today made us officially safe. Ahh that's right. I think in the discussions yesterday we were assuming Accies would lose today!

Alba cup final
The omens are looking good for County to go down now! Hopefully an Ayr day beckons if they get each other in the play offs!

Kilmarnock -V- ICT : Matchday Thread
Gudgies are from Dingwall. I thought that Killie played well, and we huffed and puffed a bit but we had strong work ethic and happy with the point. Killie really should have won the game with the open goal but we deserved a point... just! A few good saves from Esson as usual. Cox had a howler. I thought Morrison played well when he came on. I think that the point actually mathematically secured us SPL safety so look on the bright side! Referee was a bit ropey - weird decisions against both teams and the Killie fans seemed to be constantly booing him, but their never happy! A few Killie fans 'accidentally' found themselves in the away end and weren't happy to be moved the 1.5 metres into their end. They really are an angry support! Highlight of the game though was when they thought they scored to go 2-1 up, the taunts form their fans beside the away end backfired big style when the flag went up! That'll teach em! Good hospitality from the County supporting bar man at the Hunting Lodge, pre and post match - even engaging in a few sing songs with us. Top 6 was not to be but a hard fought well deserved point.

Ayrshire away day
Yes, I am looking forward to another sing off with the Killie fans at Fannys!

One of my favourite away tops - you either loved it or hated it!

Pitch Inspection***GAME OFF***
The SPL teams in 2004 forced us into USH... If we do lose TV money, maybe Celtic should compensate us?
