  1. Hope they are on the mend soon but at least the pressure is off them to come back too soon as their replacements are playing exceptionally well.
  2. What a great team performance, a 0-0 draw would have been a more genuine and unbiased result but we cant let Celtic pull away from Rangers too early can you Mr ref. We didnt break down their defense but they didnt break down ours either. Even the subs did well, the second penalty was dodgy too so we cant really blame Aldred and still kept a clean sheet, enter Ross into the arena and we get slick one touch passing going forward, Sutherland comes on and straight away hes getting into good positions and becomes a threat around the box every time he has the ball.He certainly deserves a start and if Tade gets the last 20 minutes then its his chance for the glory as he out muscles the tired defense.
  3. After watching the replay on sky plus, Tokely clearly got the ball before man. Even if he didnt get Naismith he was going down anyway as Rangers were getting desperate as they couldnt break us down in normal play. Appeal, appeal, appeal.
  4. Option 1 Inverness to Skye,Urquhart castle, Brochs at Glenelg,The castle at Dornie,Skye Portree and the A855 north, then Uig to the outer Hebrides, enjoy Harris, eat some Stornoway black pudding, ferry to Ullapool, buy some tat. head north to Achmelvich beach for a picnic in your waterproofs, Smoo cave, enjoy the views along the northers shores. day trip to Orkney and John de Groat. (only for them to say they have been) How long have you got? Option 2 chill out in Inverness and unwind Around Inverness, Falls of Foyers, Muir of Ord Distillery, loch Ness cruise, weather permitting.
  5. Scratching my head a bit myself. The Inverness Courier have done a good spread on this event, with Scottish warriors over the last 2000 years and an ariel WW11 dog fight at Fort George. This event clashes with our game against Rangers and I wanted to point out on the ICT forum that the two events dont have to clash if you go on a Sunday. Seeing as theres also a Thread on dwindling numbers at games one would assume it would be common sense to remind people that it doesnt have to conflict with the Rangers game. I would assume the mods are busy and dont examine what the title of post is about and secondly the reason for the post.
  6. I also read it as quoted from the article. 600,000 fans have stopped attending in the past five years. To me that says 600,000 less clicks of the turnstiles over the 1140 matches played in that period. I make that down by 526.3 per match. Pretty meagre amount really considering standards have dropped so much in the period. I noticed that the sum I did in my head 600,000 / 5yrs =125,000 was a bit out? how did I manage to get a band 1 at school a million years ago. So the real figure you have quoted is even lower than mine.
  7. Actually, it's 600,000 less per annum...so about 16,000 a week (give or take). The decline was already happening before the latest recession hit. It's doubtless had an impact, but it's certainly not the main cause. Must have misread the BBC link, I read it as 600,000 over 5 years.
  8. I thought this was a bit of a bummer clashing with the Rangers game on Saturday as its on from 11.30 to 4.30. The good news is that its on Sunday as well.

As mentioned we have got Nessie. Rangers are bringing up some favorite Ibrox characters, called Weegie, Alchie and Druggie. And will probably sing their favorite song. http://www.bing.com/videos/search?q=heil+dir+im+siegerkranz&view=detail&mid=FBFD0EE455ACF5A62CD2FBFD0EE455ACF5A62CD2&first=0&FORM=LKVR
  10. Useless statistics really, you can alter any figures to make them look better. 600,000 over 5 years?? What a scoop, should make the front page. 125,000 a year- 38 games x 6 fixtures So 125,000 fans less pa over 228 games = 549 a match or 3289 less over a set of weekend fixtures. People dont have as much cash, throw into the mix a lot of midweek evening fixtures from postponements and planed mid week fixtures, 6pm KOs, Monday night football, etc. then 549 isnt a lot thats not taking into account that the Dons and Hibs are pants and their fans are staying away. Taking the above into consideration, then I would say that the head count is far better than to be expected with all of the obstacles put in front of the fans. If Scottish income was divided by attendance money, then you would say that a greater amount of available income as a percentage is being spent on Scottish football. by comparing recent figures with 5 years ago. It wasnt really worth a story. When I mention pretty useless statistics I was referring to the news article and not fans input
  11. Perhaps a mod would like to move this to the correct location.
  12. Was that not Garry Wood and Rooney fecking up the chance against 'well doing the above just a few games before the split in our relegation season? I actually thought it was Barrowman but come to think of it 'Barrowman through on goal doesnt really sound right'
  13. I think he can do a job as you say, get to the byline and drive the ball across the goal mouth, its just that if the strikers doing that out wide whos there to collect. Foran is good at being first to the ball with his head around the box, Rooney wasnt strong in the air but would always be in the right position to receive a high ball to feet whilst holding off a defender and both would be in dangerous positions, I cant say that Tade is presently strong at either but hes one of the team and I hope he comes good.
  14. To pull this away from King Billy no mates, My next exciting topic will be whats the ideal height of grass for the game against the Germans.
  15. With Doran and Hayes in the team nothing wrong with one or the other sitting on the back line waiting for a long ball out wide. Hayes even kicked a long ball for himself against Hibs. He hoofed it up the park and I thought to myself who he passing to, he was actually passing to himself as he raced up the park and out ran their defender. I wonder if hes quick enough to play against himself at tennis.
  16. Dargo was a no one before he came here and became a prolific goal scorer for us and his strike rate lowered again when he moved on. As for Rooney, I can still remember Barrowman being through on goal (whilst playing for us) with just the goalie to beat and Rooney catches him up, bumps into him and they both fall over. Tade may become a goal machine for us, he may not but Butcher is no fool and will always play what he deems to be the best to get the job done. Although he brought in Eagle and Stratford he had to rely on others to get the job done as midfield was inept with them in it. I hope it all clicks for Tade, he settles into the team and also his new home in the Highlands, if things dont go quite to plan then theres no harm in him coming on as a super sub in the future and let others get the job done alongside Foran etc.
  17. Good news, hope he does well.
  18. The coefficient has gone up and there will be 2 Champions league places next season, will this mean that there will be 5 European places in total again, which is a pretty enticing carrot for us to get into the top 6.
  19. Tels name would be linked to the job but I think he works best with a club of our size.
  20. I thought it was nationalities that have 'played' for ICT. He did play for us. Mind you if he was on a pay as you play contract he would only have got about ?8.50
  21. The lengths some people go to, to get some Tesco green club card points.
  22. I havent seen Billy McKay play yet so if your in the dark lke me I thought you might like this. Not saying this will be the norm but makes good viewing of one of our new signings. http://www.footylounge.com/films//liverpool-v-northampton/match-highlights-video_ca427a097.html
  23. Theres actually a loophole in the two laws, ride some cattle whilst drunk. As cattle isnt mentioned in the later version.
  24. I mentioned this a while ago but if a Football Calendar was to run from August to July it would not just to sort out the problems mentioned above with players but it makes it easier to plan things round the football season. write the fixtures on the calendar but can only get as far as December. But would you buy one?
  25. Think the best people to ask would be Dunfermline fc or ask the same question on a pars website. Superglue an Abraham Lincoln beard on his face I'm sure he would look old enough then.
