Sat 30 Apr 2016 Barring a few evening matches, all I spotted today were - Rooney and Hayes for Aberdeen in their 4-1 win over Motherwell and a double for Ben Greenhalgh for Concord Rangers in a 2-2 draw at Maidenhead

Excellent result. Keeps us in good shape for 7th place. Well done to everyone.

David Davis got the equaliser for Birmingham tonight (29 Apr) in their 2-2 draw with Middlesborough

Just noticed that after Toby Agdestein's first goal for Haugesund on 15 Apr, he scored two more on 20th.

Well, turned out all right in the end. We actually looked quite good in last half hour, but even then Killie gave us a couple of problems!. But, now we can relax for last four games and hopefully secure 7th spot in the league. Not the greatest result after our heroics of last season, but I'll take it, if that is how it pans out. Liked Tremarco today, and Mutumbo looked sharp at the end, don't know why he doesn't get a start. All in all, a satisfactory Sunday, now I can watch the snooker with a smile!

Sat 23 Apr 2016 Felipe Morais, recently back from long term injury, scored his first goal of the year for Bradford City in a 4-0 win against Walsall in EL 1.

Rory McAllister misses penalty, then sent off, for violent conduct, all within the first 11 mins in today's match for Peterhead v Ayr.

Absolutely gutted by this news, if true. I must admit I had a 'feeling in my water' that it might happen, only due to the inordinate amount of time it was taking. I feel sure Raven would have been good for another couple of years, and I doubt very much that we've seen the last of him in Scottish football. I'd hate for him to end up at one of our competitors, especially 'over the bridge' He has been a great servant and will always be remembered for, amongst other things, his great extra time winner against Celtic in the Cup semi. I'm sure we will all wish him well.

Ben Greenhalgh scored again tonight (19 Apr) for Concord Rangers in a 1-2 defeat by Truro City.

Good to see Russell competing well again this week, after a poor Masters, with a tied 2nd place (with Luke Donald) in the RBC Heritage tournament at Hilton Head, South Carolina. As an aside, I played a few courses on Hilton Head Island about 20 years ago with 3 pals, but even back then the Harbour Town course, where this week's competition was held, cost $250 a round, and was way out of our league.

What a pity our defence of the cup failed so tamely a few weeks ago, against one of the ultimate finalists. Anyway, it must be encouraging for all the other teams to see two 'diddy' teams from the lower leagues reach the final. When did that last happen I wonder? Actually, I don't wonder that much, otherwise I'd look it up!
