  1. I agree with that. I too like Vincent. After his winner against Falkirk I'm sure he will always have a place in many ICT fans' hearts. Yesterday was the first time I'd seen Wedderburn live. Not impressed, slow and cumbersome with his first touch usually going backwards. Mind you he was not alone. Stats show 60% possession yesterday and only 2 shots on target. I must have missed them, although there was one skirmish, from a corner I think, in the second half which I couldn't really make out. Anyway, it was all pretty appalling against a side 3 leagues below us. As others have said, we badly need some creativity, and improved ball crossing. Most of the crosses, bad as they were, came from the right. Williams seemed to disappear without trace on the left, after a promising start. The corner kick taking too was poor. At least two short corners totally wasted, and several others not causing any problem for the Stirling defence. Altogether, " a poor day at the office". Hope its better next time I show up.

  3. Really good news. The second half of the season has started well. I hope Storey celebrates with a hat trick on Saturday.
  4. If it is true that Eddie Ofere is without a club again, having, apparently just left Boluspor, I wonder if his agent will be in touch with ICT. His wage demands should now be well below what he wanted at the end of last season, following a fairly dismal half season in Turkey (only 2 goals). Despite this, I wouldn't mind seeing him back with us for the rest of the season, on our terms of course. I think a combination of Ofere and Storey could be extremely effective.
  5. Therefore 'Buen viaje' to him. Let's not beat about the bush, he has been fe**ing useless, get rid.
  6. Watched a bit of the 'poor relation', the BDO from Frimley over the week end. Standard does not compare with PDC. A ladies match I saw was just embarrassing given that they are meant to be the 'best in the world'.

  8. Sat 02 Jan 2016 Well, here we go for 2016 with a quiet scoring day for our ex players, but nice to see Nick Ross get his first for Dundee (as it wasn't against us). Scot Premier N Ross (Dundee 2 - Dundee Utd 1) SL1 R McAllister (Peterhead 4 - Stenhousemuir 1) EL 1 S Winnall (Barnsley 2 - Millwall 1) EL 2 A MacDonald (Notts Co 2 - Oxford Utd 4)
  9. Should make it even more interesting at Stirling next week. Although it would have been nice to reach the target against County, I'm quite pleased in a way, as I'll be at Stirling to see the milestone achieved. Hope I do not have cause to 'eat those words'.
  10. Excellent result. How satisfying to hold on to a two goal lead, especially against County. Well done to all concerned.
  11. Dragging them in instead of keeping them out, I assume!
  12. Yes, a two goal lead, very worrying! Another free kick from Tansey I think.
  13. I see no one has voted for Michael Fraser, and I didn't either, but if the poll was for important saves, he would be right up there. Of those who saw it, few will ever forget his wonderful save towards the end of a match against Celtic at the Longman, when we beat them 3-2 after being 0-2 down. That save, as much as anything else, won that match for us. The save was captured on photograph, and was available (may still be) from the club shop. I got it as a Xmas present some years ago and still proudly display it on my wall.
  14. Yes, goal of the season contender there from Liam. And surely we have the best dead ball kicker in the Premier League in Tansey. Looks good for the second half of the season if only we can get our defence back to its best. That will be when Meekings is back in central defence with Warren. These two are good for each other and are much stronger as a pair than individually. So, Happy New Year to all ICT fans. Lets hope we'll still be celebrating at 5pm on Saturday. My money says we will.

  16. I'd just like to endorse everything the OP and others have said. I've not seen him play for a while, except highlight snatches, but I really hope his progress continues. It seems that he is thriving with the extra responsibility. Lets hope we can keep him for another couple of years at least. I always find it amazing how well we seem to manage to fill the boots of our stars who leave. Someone like Ryan leaves, or, in the past, Black, Rooney, Brown or many others who, in no time at all, seem to be replaced more than adequately. Perhaps the exception is in replacing Billy on a permanent basis, but perhaps Storey can do that too if we secure him on a longer contract.
  17. 30 Dec 2015 Last one of the year, Billy Mckay with yet another penalty in Dundee Utd's 3-2 defeat at Hearts. I’ve totted up all the goals scored by our ex players in the calendar year 2015. This is easier than doing it season by season, as not all the playing seasons where our ex players now play match up with the UK playing season (eg mainland Europe, USA, Ireland). By my reckoning we have had 61 ex players scoring 371 goals, as follows :- 26 goals Rory McAllister Peterhead 24 Adam Rooney Aberdeen 21 Gary Wood Montrose/Formantine 18 Zander Sutherland Brora R 16 Dale Gillespie Brora R 15 Andy MacAskill Turriff U 13 Sam Winnall Barnsley 12 Brian Prunty Airdrieonians, Andrew Grieg Brora R Martin Bavidge Inverurie 11 Jason Oswell Newtown Curtis Allen Glentoran Dan Park Cove R 10 Stuart Soane Forres 09 Denis Wyness Elgin/Buckie Shane Sutherland Elgin/Peterhead Billy Mckay Dundee Utd 08 Dachi Khutsishvili Forres 06 Alex MacDonald Oxford Utd Stuart Armstrong Dundee Utd/Celtic Lewis MacKinnon Buckie Doug Imrie Hamilton Martin Laing Inverurie 05 Marley Watkins Barnsley Andrew MacLeod Strathspey Adam Evans Bohemians Andy Barrowman Dunfermline/Albion Grant Munro Brora R Tarmo Kink Levadia(Tallin) 04 Aidan Chippendale Stalybridge Gregory Tade Steua Bucharest Johnny Hayes Aberdeen Ben Greenhalgh Concord R 03 Filipe Morais Bradford Marius Niculae Dinamo Bucharest Robert Eagle Lowestoft Jamie Duff Elgin Craig MacMíllan Rothes Darren Mackie Turriff U 02 Eddie Ofere Boluspor Ibram Sekajja Livingston David Davis Birmingham Gavin Morrison Brora R Charlie Taylor Leeds John Rankin Dundee Utd Tom Aldred Accrington/Blackpool Stuart Leslie Deveronvale 01 Danni Sanchez FL Strikers Brian Gilfillan Airdrieonians Stuart Duff Cove R Callum Dingwall Formantine Darren Dods Forfar Ross Tokely Brora R Ian Vigurs Inverurie Graeme Shinnie Aberdeen Andrew Shinnie Birmingham Roy McBain Cove R Michael Finnis Clach Ian Black Shrewsbury Steve Williams Barrow Ryan Baptie Linlithgow
  18. Yes, I had to do a double take when I saw that. Didn't recognise him instantly.
  19. That is a cracking winner. Plus Tansey's two free kicks. Hope we are saving some of these amazing strikes for County.
  20. Wow! What a last few minutes. I forgive them. 3 good points. Who said we couldn't hold on to a lead? Maybe we'll hit the 1500 against County after all. With attacking like this, it could be possible. Well done lads.
  21. Every game the same thing. Way beyond a joke now.
  22. Against the run of play? But who cares? Great start. Let's build on this with a comfortable win. Top six, here we come!

  25. Re the penalties, the one we got was very soft. Even watching the highlights two or three times, I could not tell if Devine handled for their penalty. Doubt if Collum could really have seen it in real time. Smacks of him 'evening things up' after giving us a soft one.
