  5. Blackpool have been a breath of fresh air in the EPL. I am sure there can't be any fans of attacking football who don't want them to survive. I think it might be touch and go myself, but the very best of luck to them. I think Terry is a bit like Ian Holloway in many ways - not scared to speak their minds. Long may it continue.
  6. Its got to be our strongest team. That means Esson. End of!

  9. Just been reading all the bumf about Chelsea offering up to £60m for Torres. If I were Dalgleish I'd have that money in the bank quicker than Chelsea could sign the cheque. No way is he worth that kind of money. He seems to be injured, or just not interested at least half of the time. Let him go Kenny, you know it makes sense.
  10. You ought to be careful Miss ICT. Ideas, Terry and bed in one sentence is a potentially dangerous mix.
  11. This gave me a smile
  12. Although I'm sure that Murray would rather play Ferrer than Nadal, it will be no cakewalk. I watched both the Murray/Dologopolov and Nadal/Ferrer matches and I have to say that Murray made heavy weather of it at times, particularly in the first and third sets. Even with Nadal clearly not at his best, Ferrer looked in great form and his confidence will be sky high having beaten Nadal. Roll on the semis.

  14. I'm sure many folk, like me, are tired of this saga now. Even Terry must be wishing it would be settled one way or another so that he knows whether to concentrate on getting a replacement (whether it be Tade or anyone else) before the window closes. So come on Rooney and your advisors, get things moving.
  15. I think it will be a struggle now. We could quite easily slip to about 8th over the next month as 'Well and D Utd play their games in hand. Top 6 not impossible though if we have another good run. Even if we don't achieve it, it was fun for a while dreaming of it, and even Europe!

  17. Hope this rumour turns out to be true, and that we get him. He would be a great signing imo.
  18. For me the impressive thing is just how much Terry cares, not only about ICT, but the SPL in general, including the fate of the 3 clubs who would be relgated at the end of year one. It would be easy for him to see his role at ICT just as a job, but for him it is clearly much more of a passion. I had my doubts about TB when he started, but this interview proves to everyone that his heart is very much in the right place. We're lucky to have him.
  19. Yes, good luck to him. He also scored some critical goals against us, the equaliser in the SC Semi at Hampden being the real scunner! I wouldn't recommend him as a manager either, although his first spell with us was not too bad. Think he got at least a couple of Motm awards.
  20. I was wondering exactly the same thing Double D. My recollection is that they played on a normal basketball size court, but I'm pretty sure it was on the grass. They didn't put down bords or anything as far as I remember.
  21. So the 4 dissenters have capitulated, or been sweetened!
  22. Yes, they did play at Telford Street. Can't vouch for the date. I wouldn't be surprised if it had been in mid 50s. Their star at the time was a guy called Meadowlark Lemon who was a great showman, and simply "wowed" the crowd with his skill.

  25. Based on their current form I can't see Hibs being a worthwhile move for Rooney. OK, a bit more money and playing in front of a few more thousand, but surely a move to an Englih Championship side would achieve these two benefits, and more, and be a better platform for him in the longer term. I'd quite like it if he came to Reading where I'd see him once in a while. I know they're on the look out for a striker.
