  1. Pretty flat game. Morton started better then we grew into it and had a few chances. Bad goal to lose after giving away possession softly, but well played by Morton once they had the ball. We could have been 2 down just before the break but for a great save by Ridgers. Sutherland has been the pick for us in the first half, with Doran quite prominent but the rest very quiet. We need a much better second half display or our cup run is over before it has even started. That said, Saturday is more important but we all like a cup run!
  2. Morton 1 up. Good finish after slack play in midfield by us.
  3. Welsh off injured. Went down after turning when off the ball. Replaced by Walsh.
  4. Great play by Sutherland to set Doran up but shot easily held by the goalie. Closely followed by Sutherland header being very close from a Doran cross. Better by us in the last five minutes.
  5. The wind is going to be an issue. Should be in our favour in the second half but an early “squeaky bum” moment with Ridgers nearly being caught by the bounce of a harmless ball that really kicked up off the pitch. Morton have had the best of the opening exchanges. Only one ball in use so with no fans behind one goal, there could be long delays in play. There’s already been one.
  6. According to the commentators, the conditions are fine and the pitch is in good condition. Hopefully their assessment is right. Here’s to two away wins!
  7. An unchanged team from Friday. Duku on the bench, so only Duffy missing (assuming Gardyne “has left the building”): https://mobile.twitter.com/ICTFC/status/1468291010446962693/photo/1 I’m on the stream now. That’s a disgrace that they promoted it being available in England but are not allowing access.
  8. Don’t think there was one for 2021. I never saw it and I normally buy one.
  9. Suspect it will be wet and windy, and the pitch can be muddy at the best of times. Hopefully it is on, as another midweek away trip will not be welcomed by the players. I’ve just purchased the livestream.
  10. Not a great surprise after a 6-0 mauling by Queens Park. I hadn’t spotted that Alex Fisher is with Newport County now.
  11. If anyone is free on Thursday evening, this could be worth going along to: https://ictfc.com/2022-calendar-signing Hopefully a good number of players are there and a lot of fans can go. A good chance for kids to meet players too, which can have a positive impact on them.

  13. For those south of the border, the livestream is available. The cost is £10.
  14. Could be worse, they could have been East Stirling fans!
  15. The club’s report: https://ictfc.com/match-report-ictfc-1-0-kilmarnock-03-12-2021
  16. A few noted today: Two for Marley Watkins for Aberdeen. Iain Vigurs for Cove. Ali Sutherland for Brora. Adam Rooney for Solihull.
  17. Today’s results have gone well for us, with Arbroath and Raith drawing and Partick failing to beat Queen if the South. We are the only one of the top five to win (and score) this weekend and have finished the weekend still top of the league. That feels good.
  18. At a function last weekend, I purchased four places at hospitality for tonight’s game in a charity auction. I must give absolute credit to the club, as the whole evening was terrific and well worth the £95 per head that the normal package costs. Keith Haggart is a talented and entertaining host. The meal from Red Poppy was excellent. The bar (included in the price) had excellent service. Two legends spoke, Billy Urquhart of Caley fame and Davie Milroy of Thistle fame, and both were informative and entertaining. Kirk Broadfoot spoke after the game and came across really well, and was very positive about our squad and promotion chances. Manny Duku also appeared and spent time with a table of younger fans. I have not done hospitality since before the first lockdown, but was really impressed. We have improved the package and that was reflected in the numbers there, the highest since it was restarted. I have no hesitation in recommending it and hope it goes from strength to strength.
  19. I really enjoyed the game tonight. We played for the full 90 minutes and were solid as a team, with good team spirit. We outplayed the promotion favourites and deservedly won. This should give us confidence to beat Morton twice next week before two home league games. There was not a failure in our team tonight with all 14 players used doing their jobs well. Welsh and Allardice are rightly being praised, but a shout out too to Sutherland who I thought was immense tonight. Broadfoot clearly enjoyed getting the better of his old team, with Polly being subbed after a quiet game. Hopefully our wobble in October and November is behind us and we kick on from this. Well done to all and given the sad events this week with him losing his mother, hopefully it has given Barry Wilson a lift too: https://ictfc.com/jessie-wilson
  20. The Killie players were booed off by their travelling support.

  22. Tonight even…..
  23. Whilst I’m hoping for a decent performance and a win, a draw will not be a disaster tonight and I’d settle for it too.
  24. Dunfermline @ 2.45 please.
