Player of the Year - Hamilton
My choice was: Cole Mckay Horner Mckay for a good shift when injured, Horner for withstanding Accies having an early go at him and then being positive, but Cole my mom by a mile, and I hope his goal and performance does him and us a lot of good for the rest of the season. I feel a lot happier after today, here's for turning Killie over next week!

Inverness CT -V- Hamilton
For those not able to be there, a much better showing and I found the game enjoyable and entertaining. We could, and perhaps should, have won, with a clear penalty denied and a few good chances missed. Equally, Hamilton were quick on the break and could feel they could have won too. I did not see the Hamilton goal clearly, so can't comment on Fon Williams, but I felt he was not fully fit. Hamilton targeted Horner initially, but I felt he did fine and pushed forward effectively a few times. Tremarco quieter than sometimes but also had a couple of chances. Mckay did well, particularly as playing through an injury, whilst Meekings played on after a heavy knock, which is probably why he stayed back all second half. Tansey and Draper were solid enough in front if the defence, and protected the "walking wounded". I cannot criticise Vigurs today, whilst Cole could turn out to be a find if we can keep hold of him. His goal gave him confidence and he was a real livewire: my man of the match. Mulraney's pace was troubling Hamilton, but he sometimes lacks judgement and keeps the ball too long. Doumbouya was his normal self, and held the ball better than sometimes. Is Doran struggling? Surprised he did not come off the bench. The ref was poor again. An encouraging afternoon, only lacking a winning goal. And at risk of being controversial, the flares, by both sets of fans, were unnecessary.

Hamilton game
I agree, this is the time the players need our support. Even if we get off to a bad start or, worse, we don't get a result, we need to show our backing and help them through a difficult period.

St Johnstone -V- Inverness CT
If they are both out, Horner will be free from suspension so presumably will be right back, with Meekings and Draper in the centre. Why was Tremarco subbed? Hopefully not an injury. Is young Gilchrist a left back? If so, Tremarco could be alongside Meekings freeing Draper for midfield. Sounds like we were very poor today. Hopefully we regroup and get a result next week. Our last point was over a month ago! Dare I say if after being shot down last time I did, but next week does look like a "must win".

Why is Brown inelligible: because he was out on loan? I did wonder why he had not been on the bench recently when we were short of subs.

Caley Thistle Squad 2016/17 + changes
Great news. Now we need the team to kick on! Hooefully he beats the target of 10 goals too. That would be some achievement. My player of the season to date.

Dundee -V- Inverness CT
Very disappointing result, particularly as it sounds like we had most of the ball. Interested to hear the thoughts of those who were there. On a positive, Tremarco half way to winning his challenge to score 10. With Horner's red card, hopefully Mckay is fit for the St Johnstone game. At least we are in a pack of 7, but we really need a few good results. Here's hoping!

Inverness CT -V- Aberdeen
Charles, Other than that games between teams near the bottom are often described as that, if you want to get inside my head (a scary prospect for anyone!), it was simply that a defeat would leave us potentially down in 9th with an away game at St Johnstone to follow, with the risk that confidence suffers and, before we know it, we face the winter break in a bad place. I've been to all home games, apart from Celtic (good excuse as on holiday) and other than the Dundee game, we have never really been comfortable, and always a bit vulnerable. Plenty goals, which is great and we anticipated under Richie, but we can never be confident we won't concede. When we are positive and move the ball fast, we look very good, but too often we give the ball away cheaply and end up under pressure. That said, I'm fully behind Richie and the team, I admire his honesty and really believe that if we stay up this season, it will be onwards and upwards again! Perhaps that could even be this season.

Inverness CT -V- Aberdeen
Don't think it was a 3-1 but we probably didn't deserve anything. I hate to say it, but Aberdeen seemed sharper, and we seldom made use of our pace, with little of note from the wide men. Fon Williams had a couple of good saves but other than Doumbouya's well taken goal, I'm struggling to recall an attempt on target. After a tough run of games, hopefully we can start picking points up again from the teams round about us and get more than two points clear if the bottom two p,aces. Dundee next week is a must win in my book. Hopefully Mckay is ok. Foran didn't think it was serious. The ref had a howler, and I'd like to see the fouls for the first two Aberdeen goals on tv, but they both seemed soft from where I was.

The Sheep are on fire ?
Fisher playing off Doumbouya sounds interesting. I suspect Cole will start. Front four could be Doran and King wide with Cole playing off Doumbouya. Other seven probably not in doubt: Fon Williams Mckay, Warren, Meekings, Tremarco Draper, Vigurs No Raven, so short of defensive cover tomorrow. Great news that Tremarco likely to sign for another year, whilst Fisher deserves his extension too.

Doumbouya or Fisher ?
Must admit Doumbouya is growing on me, but pleased Fisher got the contract extension and I really like his work rate.

Checked the 2014/15 appearances on the Caley Thistle website and it records no starts and one sub appearance.

I went with Raven Doumbouya Doran but special mention for MacKay in his first league start. Couple of decent saves late on and hope the goals don't dent his confidence. One of the worst ref displays though! Hearts conned him into a lot of free kicks.

Inverness CT -V- Hearts
A very enjoyable game. We could and should have won, but equally we could have lost! Fon Williams was holding his side in the warm up, so not surprised that MacKay started. His kick outs were very good, but I just wondered if we defended deeper to try to protect him, and at times that got us into trouble. My only other criticism was a couple of times we had runners at set pieces which came to nothing as we steadfastly did not try to take any quickly. i hope Tremarco is ok, but credit Raven who did very well, and has probably not had a better finish. I thought the ref was poor, as Hearts were playing for decisions and Neilson was mouthing all afternoon (and outside his area shouting instructions). Doran back is great news, and hope he remains fit. Vigurs was clearly struggling for a while before he went off. So, disappointed not to win, relieved not to lose, but a very enjoyable afternoon. Celtic next week, then Aberdeen, so a tough run, but 14 points in the last 9 games (when County have only taken 4) is very encouraging! Well done all!

Team News - Injuries and Suspensions etc
Media reports quoting Foran as saying Fisher will be offered a contract extension next week to tie him up until the summer. He is out tomorrow due to injury, along with Cole and possibly McKay. With King ineligible, doubt we will have 7 subs!
