  1. Bullock - ? Soutar - ? Eddie Malone - ? Darren Young - ? Bob Malcolm - Yes Ritchie Hart - Yes Klimpl - Yes I'd probably take Shinnie or Hutchison on loan too.
  2. You not overvaluing County there. ?50 quid seems a little steep. Mind you 50p seems steep.
  3. I'd go with 11 fans as trialists. Dundee will surely bottle the propositon of playing the IHE! I'd go with what is our usual 11 but bring on 3 subs early doors to get them in on the celebrations and allow some players standing ovations (ie Rooney, Tokely and lets say Foran or Hayes)
  4. Just thought getting this to the top before the game tomorrow was morally the correct thing to do.
  5. I'd go with the 16 team with the 8-8 split play each other once but it would throw up the we played them 3 times away debate again. Thats the main problem. I think it would be interesting to have bottom 2 down, Top 2 up. Next bottom 2 go to play offs with 3rd 4th teams in SFL1. Chance of 4 teams going down makes competition far greater. And you get a situation of 4 down 4 in Europe. No idea how a split would ever be implemented fairly while not being too many games. unless it was 14 teams but then bottom 7 complain about losing revenue to bigger teams for home and away.
  6. If the bottom 2 were to go down automatically, surely the top two from the league below would come up? with 3rd bottom playing 3rd top?
  7. Roddy Mackenzie, 34,From Livingston, Possible GK backup? Has coaching creditentials. Darren Smith, 22, Motherwell. Not been released but quoted as expecting to leave. Dundee Utd Greg Cameron, 21, made debut at 16 but hasn't really pushed on. I think there will be a fair few experienced players released in the SPL and alot of hungry young kids looking to prove themselves. Discuss and so forth....
  8. HA HAH AHA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA! Thats all I can think to say on this now. We are 9 points clear at mo. If we win this weekend that will be 12 points clear of 2nd. A 24 point swing people! NOW THATS TECKLE!
  9. Great news on the 3 deals! The only possible way I could see Rossco leaving is if a very good 3 year deal was put in front of him. The kind that would set him up nicely for retirement. Or if Im right in thinking this, he is a Jambo yeah? If they wanted a new defender he might be tempted. So I'd be right in thinking we have Odi, Foran, Cox, Rooney, Munro and, eh Duncan(?) for next season. We now need IMO Tokely, Hayes, Proctor, Esson, Bulvitis and Duff perhaps too (Dont know his status) and another year for Sanchez. Hopefully get promising youngsters like Sutherland/Shinnie/Morrison secured for the future. This would give around a 1st team squad of 16 to build upon. I've probably missed some really obvious names out. Ooops just in case As much as I like and respect Golly and Roy, Im not sure they've got it for the SPL anymore though Im sure more regular attenders of games than me would be better suited to judge that. They would offer invaluable experience of the SPL and are part of the club. They would at least offer excellent cover but we need to secure other players to compete in their positions I would think.
  10. Well if Leicester have any more players like Cox and Hayes in their reserves it would be a good shout having a wee look. If we keep the nucleus of our current team (which must be viewed as key): I think our priority is a good solid left back. I dont think DZ is good enough defensively and we should let him go and I doubt Golly has the legs to be a 1st choice SPL left back(but might be worth keeping on). I wouldn't want to throw Shinnie in there as he hasn't really played at a high enough level. Might be worth seeing if anyone in the 1st would take him for a season. I dont think we really need to sign a keeper. We are only looking for a back up so getting someone on loan might be worth looking into perhaps. And even then we might only need to do that if something long term was to happen to Esson. I think a less advanced creative midfield player would be a good shout. Odi is certainly worth keeping on going be recent performances. Sanchez might also be worth another year. Another striker and Centre half (Pavels?) would also be good. I'd take Vigurs back in a heartbeat. But I'd reitterate keeping the team together.
  11. wilsononourwing gets my vote for BELIEVING And to the mods for doing another great job keeping the site rolling along all tickityboo
  12. Im pretty sure the trophy will already be on it's be on it's way to Inverness. The only the possibly winners (mathematically) are going to be playing there after all. Im just gutted I cant make it. Been really bad for me this season in terms of games... again. I was fully gonna do it but Im going to a engagement party that day- be pretty tight gettin back. Some people are sooo inconsiderate when it comes to a day to celebrate such things. Will somebody be a gem and take loads of photos. Oh and do you think it would be possible to ask the highlights man to take a video of the trophy of the trophy presentation? It would not be part of the match highlights as post game surely. And Im sure the club would love to flaunt it on the website. The league will have photograhers from papers there. possible TV crew anyway. News crews generally wont hold exclusive rights to such thinks I'd imagine as there is Sky, BBC ITV etc all vying for such thinks for a 10 seconds clip on the sports section. Be good to enquire. Maybe the club could even launch another DVD? Why am I not the commercial manager? It makes no sense.
  13. I think it has a lot to do with their lack of Champions league involvement. Top top players will not join for mega money alone. But they've still managed to get Tevez, Adebayor, Viera(past his best but wealth of xp) Lescott, Given, Barry, Santa Cruz, Robinho (not as good as he thinks) Toure, and the promising Adam Johnson I can see them over taking Liverpool, and Arsenal wont be far behind without alot of investment. And in fairness Bellamy has been pretty good this season. But no way is Joe Cole worth 180k a week. He's not even week in week out regular at Chelsea. How does a rotated player merit that much?!
  14. Eh Rossco? Duncan? Proctor? all been here a while. Got to be big Ross Tokely. The only man to have worn every shirt. As long as you have leaders on the park doing the job it doesn't matter who wears the armband. In most countries abroad the captaincy aint as big a deal, usually bestowed upon the oldest most experienced players.
  15. Council Juice replied to dam17's topic in Caley Thistle
I'd say he's pretty raw but he has the nessecary attributes for the job. And a bit of talent and potential to get better. I reckon that as Tokely gets on a bit he'd make a decent right back with Ross in at centre half perhaps. I'm pretty sure it's been mentioned that he is a right back who can play centre half. I'd rather have Proctor in the defensive mid role than right back.
  16. Lets just keep it simple and just keep winning. But we need a max of a win and a draw to rule County out and a max of 2 wins to rule Dundee out. So it's till the case of win 2 out of 3 and we are champions. Well we could win 1 and draw against Dundee and we'd win also but that would scare me shitless after last season. Nope 2 wins and a final day trophy collection will do me fine.
  17. The type of people they had going on open trial days there this season was ridiculous. 1 guy went because he was " the fastest in his street" Thats fair enough if he lives in the same street as Usain Bolt. It does not however make you a footballer.
  18. It's pretty even. We did it against a Celtic side which contained Moravcik, Viduka and a young Petrov. And Regi Blinker! We were a bottom half, very inconsistent (we'd win 4-0 one week then get pumped the next), very young and skint 1st division team going to Parkhead. We were basically seen as a formality. A bye to the next round. I always thought we had a slight chance though, but that was mainly ross tinted optimism. Ross County did it against a team that probably are not as good as the one which formed part of O'Neills teams backbone. Everyone fancies their chances and they had the added incentive of a cup final. Ross County are a fairly consistent, top half, fairly well off (for an SFL1 team) 1st division team. They were up against Robbie Keane. If he doesn't get a sniff Celtic have proved fairly toothless. But he is top class. Celtic should be beating Ross County. They were big favourites. McGeady should be relishing playing on the wide open hampden turf. I always thought County had a good chance and I dont really want them to win. So I'd say ours was a bigger scalp. A result which really shocked. However the stature of County's game is bigger as they are now in the Scottish Cup Final. However I offer congratulations to them and am glad to see a highland team get it up one of the Old Firm. And the extra games played in the cup may aid us significantly in the title run in. 7 games to play in 21 days for county then 2 weeks off before final. Well done Ross County! C'mon the Caley Jags! 3 games to go.
  19. Ooooh I might have to get one. It's either gonna be a title decider or victory parade (for 1 team, wont say who. Cant be cocky.) with the way it's going.
  20. At the momento Odi is the man in possesion of the shirt, is more in form and is getting goals. However over the course of the season Sandshoes has been the better and is a better player in general. He maybe needs to work on his shooting and have more confidence in shooting but his pro's outweigh his cons in that he brings more creativity to the side. However 2 different players with different styles. Its a pleasant option to have.
  21. "A look a last minute winner for the Caley Jags Mr Scott" "Get it up ye Dundee, Whe's in Cherge?! Thats what happens when ye sack the gaffer. Proper Teckle!"
  22. oooooh got a wee bitty excited there. Haha! Running around the room. Full Time.
  23. THERES ONLY ONE RICHIE FORAN! overhead kick! WOW! YIPEE!!!!
  24. corner for Raith. Esson booked. 5 clean sheets then 3 conceded.
