Scotland U21 Squad
Its a conspiracy.... hang on wait i'm not a Tic so just blatant ignorance. Wood, Vigurs and Duff have all done enough to suggest they should be starting for the under 21s never mind in the squad.

Yogi-isms
And a good manager to boot

Respect
Have to say this is a touch worrying. It seems alot of the team have as little time and respect for brew as the fans. Is this why players get randomly dropped despite no great loss in form. And why others play week in week out regardless? I do disagree however that a pro should be able to play anywhere. Bobby Mann would not have made a great winger. Cristiano Ronaldo would be a crap centre half. Most players are naturally good at certain thinks. ie crossing, passing, shooting, tackling. And most people tend to be one footed, there are not too many ambidextres folks in the world.

Rooooooooneeeeeeey
Rooney's goal return says to me he must play. Even disregarding performance, goals win games and he's scoring them. Add to that he looks a larger threat than any of the other forwards. I'd like to see Wilson play just of him playing away. Give him some creative element to feed of. Either that or Imrie's energy. At home get Barrowman up there in a 2 man forward line.

Ritchie Bryne
All I've read here is that he is terribly inconsistant and erratic. Excuse me but what about hastings? How anyone could descibe him as a world beater in comparison to anyone is baffling. Byrne was a fairly good player at Dunfermline and was thus one of the players JC took with him to Aberdeen. At Aberdeen his form went downhill and was hampered by injuries. How many Dons players does that happen to though? Its like a jinx. They signed dunno many free scoring forwards who have all went fairly goal shy since or injured or left. Hastings is finished, Lionel is more erratic than anything. And how many times did we beat Aberdeen when we people were cheering his name on the teamsheet? Im not sure how good he is, but i reckon he's gotta be at least as good as what we have, if not better than the less than flattering comments that our current left full back recieves. Then again if theirs anyone else... Oh and as Byrne has played in between the windows, or been in contract we have to wait until January before anything could be done.

Johansson to Hibs
And i used to like him as well. And now he goes and joins one of my least favourite teams. Bad form. We can all now hope he likes scoring into Hamilton and St Midden but likes ICt too much to do such like. 20 in 46 games is a good record also.

Duff V Proctor V McGuire
Duff. At 6'2 he's got the height but he's quite the thin guy and whilst he may lose a touch of pace, working on his upper body strength could lead him to being a more commanding figure. At 5'11" 11st is around average but a few pounds of muscle on the 12'6" frame of Duff would do no harm. And given his youth now is the perfect time. At 12'6" should he not just sit in goals. :thumb04: I'll be editing that then What i meant was as our tallest centre half out of him Proctor and Maguire at 6'2, but being fairly light for that weight at 12st 6lb he could put on a few pounds in muscle and become more of a physical Darren Dods type figure which we require. I also agree that Tokely is valuable with his height and physical presence. Could Proctor not be played as a standard right midfielder allowing for tokers rampages up the line and offering more than adequate cover as opposed to the gaping hole he often leaves. It would allow Cowie to be pushed further up ina more free role also. With a choice of middle men. I think Hastings has really started to decline as a player and a replacement is required. Lionel and McBain are not really up to that role either permanently.

Anyone associated with the midden is scum. Its fact. Sorry Denzil and Dargo but your tarnishing your own name by association. At least your taking money for your troubles. And besides i wasnt too keen on Gus as a player either.

Team for Falkirk
This would be the start for me too........ of course it would. Im a tactical genious. I reckon Maguire will start centre half if Proctor is filling in for Tokely. He's back in training and if Brewster is willing to throw Proctor in against rangers it's likely he'll pick Phil over young Duff.

Have i missed something or have Jim Henson productions got new characters?

the back ground for the streaker doesnt look familiar, thus perhaps it was at Brechin during the clyde game?

Duff V Proctor V McGuire
Maguire has done nothing to suggest he should be ahead of Duff and Proctor is no real central defender. He's a right back.

Credit where credit's due
Just out of interest, why do you think United are moe likely to stay up then Aberdeen. Eh because Dundee Utd were fourth last term, got to the CIS cup final and are currently sitting pretty in 3rd. I'd be very suprised, if under levein, they get dragged into the bottom 6 never mind a relegation battle. Aberdeen on the other hand are much like ourselves and cant buy a home win and are inconsistant away from home so far but should stay up going on past evidence and squad quality.

Heads on a Plate
JJ has done wonders at Killie, maybe they want Bobby Williamson back MP had a hard job of emulating the great footie of Tony Mowbray and cup success of JC Jimmy Calderwood has to deal with a 20 year old legacy of arguably the greatest manager of the last 30 years. Craig Brewster, well Robbo won us the league, Christie is a Legend, and Paterson was the master of the total attack football whereas Brewster has jumped ship once for greener grass and has no real attachment to the club. Gus M is a scumbag in charge of scum bags. Nothing wrong there. How anyone could call for Yogi's head after how he has the club running? Billy Reid has a really hard job keepin his team up but if he's under the cosh i'd like to think accies fan realise how far he's brought them. Lazlo has a cool name and not to forget the odd regime he works under Motherwell's mark maghee has turned Well from relegation candidates to a nice football team. The OF two get horror stick too. Uefa cup finals, cup wins and a treble on the other side clearly not enough. Is Levein the only safe manager?

Credit where credit's due
I think the only teams who could probably be guaranteed safety outside the OF are Dundee Utd and the Edinburgh two. Possibly Aberdeen too. The rest are are clubs of fairly equal stature and quality with fairly even budgets. Hamilton have the disadvantage of no top flight experence to draw on. Brewsters signings always seem good. As a club, we rarely make poor signings. Liam Fox perhaps but most do a good job. Brewster has brought into the team, players like Vigurs, Duff and Wood and gave Black his 1st real run in the team when he 1st got the job. The main problem is we lack the flair of old. This infuriates the fans who want the attacking passing game. Our team is a workmanlike team at times. And then Craig pee's people off with what seems to be unexplicable subs and weird wide play. If it worked he'd be a genious. Sadly it often doesnt.

Playing a 4-5-1 at home is fine as long as you have enough attacking support from the midfield. Thats why i'd play Black Vigur and Cowie. Imrie on the left, Proctor right which allows Tokely to get forward and get crosses in whilst being covered by someone who can defend naturally. Cowie should be allowed to roam from wide right attacking mid to just behind the forward to compacting the middle when needs be. Allow Black and Vigurs to pull the midfield strings and get Imrie up the left at any opportunity to support the striker. Play McBain as Hastings is not impressing. Play Rooney as he is a more potent threat than Wood.

Handcuffs Celebration
DalneighCaley Yes of course the parents have had the most unthinkable event happen in their lives and its something no one should have to burden, but he will have to live with the fact his thoughtlessness and stupidity killed two children. 7 years inside will never make up for what his actions have lead to. I dont think you have to be a parent to understand that. Secondly the media never report things as they see it They latch on to anything and attempt to make a scandal out of it. Your average tabloid journo is a blood sucking leech of an a thing nowhere near human. When you look at the recent BBC scandals. Who would have cared had the newspapers not went on a witch hunt? 2 people complained after the show. The rest of the listeners were regulars who knew what to expect and, whilst probably realising it was a touch OTT, didnt really care. The player Norris probably feels guilty himself. From what I hear it was his wedding Mcormick was driving from. He was probably trying to show to everyone support for his mate who he feels has to live with the consequences of his actions. He could have went about it in another way entirely though and as i said earlier called him. He didnt, but its hardly a disrepute case or sick or outrageous. Just misguided and not well thought through.

Wide players
Fact is you found it harder to cross, regardless of level, you will still find it more challenging to do something that doesnt come naturally to you. With top quality players Im sure the idea works a treat. Especially when the top players can use their weaker foot with as much effect as most use their best peg. And cutting in allows the full back to overlap, whilst dragging the defending full back in with the wide man. Most teams thought tend to line up even at the top level, with lefty's on the left and rights on the right with temporary interchange.

Credit where credit's due
The lads did well yesterday so credit where its due - Well Done. It doesnt stop the fact that Brewster has made some bewildering decisions in his time and results in general of late have been pretty poor. I was backing Brew for a fair while. Given his limited resources it's not an easy job but he doesnt always make it easy for himself with odd tactical decisions. Hope thats them ended the rot but the jury is still out IMHO

Handcuffs Celebration
I can understand him wanting to show support for his mate who's in the nick for the next 7 years, but surely a phone call would suffice. Should have thought about it but he's a footie player and most aint too bright.
