Someone had to reel you lot in Well played the Macdonald clan A great battle all season but you were running away with it a one point. You also missed a week which was crucial in the end.

My thanks to you all for playing the NPL this season. It's been one of the closest in NPL history. My commiserations to old caley girl in losing out in the final few weeks. She had been in top spot for 40 games hitting number in game 7. Former champion CaleyCalum put up a good fight to retain his title but couldn't quite make the finish line. Meanwhile, I can now take a few weeks off before it all starts again for, what could be, my final season of doing the NPL. Thank you all for playing.

I believe I said the same thing back in 2015. The team broke up and our downward trend started after that final. I'm not expecting the shock we all grave but could this be a shot in the arm for the club and begin an upward trend instead?

Think I was some 150 points ahead at one stage having got 3 correct scores one week. It's not very often I hit top spot so it was nice whilst there. I also played 5 games less which would have made ll the difference. Thank you for playing. Yes it would be great to have more playing but my efforts to get more involved have failed.

At this stage I wouldn't ditch Dodds as there's not enough time for the replacement to get to know the squad for such a big game. What he needs to do though is work on tactics that avoid the big punt up the park. Championship sides gobble those up for breakfast. The likes of Celtic will enjoy them for dinner and supper too. Not making the play offs may be a blessing in disguise for me as I don't think we would have been good enough for the awful SPL. I agree entirely with your second paragraph. Recuperation, fitness and team building will be vital. I'd add watching Celtic videos until they've got green and white stripes in their eyes. They can be beaten...we just got to find a way how to do that.
