Coverage of County game
You got a gripe with KC? I'd express an opinion that Forans deal had been on the table long before the Hibs vacancy came about but given the time it takes for all parties to get together to sign deals the completion came about after Butcher left. Contrary to what some may believe its not usually managers who actually do the negotiating of contracts. Managers make recommendations and others behind the scenes do the paperwork so Richie signing was just business as usual for the people running the club. I'm also willing to believe that this signing is going to be very good for this club for many more years than the current contract.

Coverage of County game
History repeating itself if that's the case then (not sure if it is tho). Remember our feeble performance in the 1st derby after we got relegated. Think Butcher and the guys got it after that! Hughes should be the most fired up of everyone for a derby. He's participated in many of the big ones in his career.

Coverage of County game
Not managed to get to a game since Hughes took over and have to take onboard the comments of those who have yet I look at BBC stats for game and wonder whats what. Granted we didn't win but beeb says we had 59% possession against County's 41%. We had 11 shots on goal, 5 on target and scored 1. They had 4 shots with 2 on target and scored 2. That says to me that Fraser must have done a good job. That said there seems to be something very wrong with our finishing just now. Can Hughes really be blamed. He hasn't really had time to figure out the attributes of each player yet. Thats where Dunc's and Richie should be advicing. They know the players. The players know the players. The players are the same ones who've performed well before. We're without Richie as leader on the park and that seems to be having an effect. Also missing the Rave as has been said before but we should not be in a position where one or two players missing from the squad can have such an effect. That aspect has to be down to Butcher and not Hughes. This is not a defence of Hughes but more an observation of the realities. We were flying when everyone was fit but an injury or suspension and we can't cope.

John Hughes
Not sure where you got stats from Sneckboy. Soccerbase head to head has us Won 23 Drawn 13 and nine losses against St Mirren in all comps. Are you just counting SPL games? Against Hearts its.8 wins 10 draws and 11 losses. 5 of those wins have been at Tynecastle

John Hughes
He wasn't my choice but I think we'll still do well. We have a good coach in Duncan and I'm sure Richie will have a deal of involvement so I believe we could have a very good management team working with our lads.

Butcher for Cardiff?
Highly unlikely........What Mr Tan has done though is turn the Cardiff fans against him. Many are p!ssed of at him changing the clubs colours and this will rile them even more. Can also see Malky win a case for constructive dismissal. Making a comment about wanting three more players is hardly a sacking offence.

Roundup from SPFL website http://spfl.co.uk/news/article/spfl-u20-league-round-up-57/ Hibernian remain top of the SPFL U20 League after beating Aberdeen 6-1 at Balmoor on Tuesday, with all the goals coming in the second half. Inverness CT are also on the 28-point mark after beating Celtic 3-1 at Dumbarton. Ally Sutherland scored after just 30 seconds and Ryan Christie doubled their lead. Denny Johnstone pulled one back but Adam Evans sealed victory for Caley Thistle with a late third. The assistant manager thread
Richie doesn't want it. He reckons he's got a good two years of playing in him yet. Future manager a possibility though.

The Goalkeeper Coach Thread
Calder was a youth coach as was Fridge. Think they both helped out with the keepers on matchdays though. Not sure that we ever appointed a keeper coach before Marsella. I think we should have one though and would offer the position to Esson.

Paul Hartley
Sorry if I seem a bit stupid but what Thistle are you referring to and what have they to do with the Championship?
-
Paul Hartley
Yes and I know more about brown crab !!! Insolence when being beaten in an arguement is not very gentlemanly. As to your statement about Alloa knocking Hamilton of top spot perhaps you should rethink your comment. The general consensus among football fans is that 'being knocked of the top' is to be replaced by the team that beat you. Hamilton were not knocked of the top. Dundee overtook them thanks to Alloa's result. Here's another question to ponder though. Is Paul Hartley's Alloa something special and is the man himself something special or are the other teams in that league very bad this season?

Celtics fans reputation in tatters
I cant see how having a preferred team in a league that your own team will never compete in can be deemed 'changing colours'. In English leagues I would favour Liverpool and in Spanish its Athletico Madrid simply because I've had opportunity to watch those two teams. Following the attitude of some I should, perhaps, never watch a match on tv that doesn't involve Inverness.
