Dear Caley Thistle board, Please listen to your fans and do not vote for a newco. They wouldn't vote for us! Thanks

Good pieces from both Waddell and Keevins today in the Sunday Mail.

Rangers continue to simply not accept that they have done anything wrong and hit out at everybody else for daring to punish them for their actions.

We all know the financial reality of the old firm's presence, however it does force the question to be asked whether it is worth settling aside every rule and principal just to keep them in the SPL.

An apology of any magnitude has been lacking throughout this debacle.

Perhaps a show of humility would have led to a more supportive stance from supporters of other clubs and the regulatory bodie. Then again probably not.

It appears that as well as not doing 'walking away' they don't do apologising.

Oh well....at least they got measures in place to stop people running around to much pre-match....Scottish Football is saved!!!

"Rangers & Celtic basically finance the Scottish game" FFS, the arrogance of some. Rangers can't even finance themselves!

Herald's twitter saying that Bill Miller will be the preferred bidder.

Announced today that Bill Miller is the preferred bidder.

Going to be very interesting to see how his plan for a newco without liquidation will work, or not, whichever the case may be!

Except, quite bizarrely, they were officially formed in 1873.

It looks like it's a case of conceived in 1872, born in 1873. As long as it reads "died due to self inflicted wounds in 2012"

They've solved the naming of the newco issue

I ‘ve had a bit of a poke around that this Miller bloke. It seems he was CEO of an organisation called Team Sports Entertainment.

Their subsidiary was called Team Racing Auto Circuit and they tried to establish a NASCAR type racing series – unsuccessfully.

Another company he is associated with – HelathSports Inc has filed for bankruptcy in the bankruptcy friendly state of Delaware.

Will newco be registered in Delaware?

Miller is / was a shareholder in Healthsports Inc. He had nothing whatsoever to do with the running of that company. He maybe has been involved in a couple of enterprises that have failed but he has also made a fortune out of taking companies that were on their knees and turning them around. He is reported as a man who is hurt by failure and thrives on success. He obviously believes he can turn Rangers around.

Sounds very similar to a certain Craig Whyte .

Scottish Premier League clubs meeting at Hampden have delayed voting on financial fair play rules until 30 May

Yet again the people in charge of our nations top league make us look like a laughing stock. Rangers couldnt even be bothered turning up to the meeting!

get them down to the 3rd division and be done with it

article on delayed voting shambles: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/17983379

FFS what a joke, if they did not have enough information to make a decision whay not request it prior to the meeting? What a waste of time, seems our league is run by gutless cowards unable to make the hard decisions whatever they may be. The fans (yes remember them) deserve to know.

No decision to be made until May 30th, (I believe) most clubs early bird discounts for season tickets expire on May 30th. Coincidence? Mmmmm

This is no surprise . They want the appearance of doing something to show the fans they are serious, but they are not prepared to risk the cash. Money wins over ethics everytime and twice on Sundays.

I think Neil Doncaster and a few others , perhaps, are more worried about losing their jobs than Rangers OR the other teams' interests.

They're all running around like chickens with therir heads cut off. Off with their heads, egad.

Think they will have it all sorted ourt by the beeginning of next season, then?

Anyway, the Vancouver Whitecaps had a very good victory agaisnt the MLS top team , San Jose Earthquakes, in Vancouver last Saturday 2-1. Really good and really fast game and the fans , all 19,000 of them ,waving flags and cheering from start to finish, loved it. :clapping:

As I understand it, the information was requested, but all they got was late notice from the administrators saying they would not be in attendance and no sign of the information being forthcoming.

IMO the Administrators have been negligent on several fronts throughout this whole thing and this is just one more point to add to the list. Would not surprise me in the slightest if we saw Creditors looking to sue them (administrators).

As they are changing the rule on who will decide on allowing a NewCo admission from the SPL Board to the SPL Member Clubs then they are required (by law) to give 21 clear days notice of the change before it can be used, hence the length of the delay.

Just another couple of things that have been niggling me here.....

Rangers being "Kicked Out" - This seems to have been the popular line for the treatment of Rangers, regardless on which side of the fence you sit. Think people need to stop using this reference as nobody is talking about kicking them out. What is being talked about is whether or not a New Company should be admitted direct to the SPL without qualifying through the SFL.

Moving on from the above point, any newly agreed sanctions would not be applied to Rangers, they would be applied to the New Company as a condition of (direct) entry in to the SPL. In short, there's no retrospective punishment being suggested.

As if this drawn out saga didnt have enough twists it turns out that Bill Miller has withdrawn his bid to buy Rangers

Bill Miller withdraws from bidding for Rangers.

Getting bored of this situation now.
