  • I shoved up the recording of today's ICT goals on my Twitter page

  • The Dons weren't poor, we just blew them of the park in the first half

We absolutely destroyed them in the first half. It should have been at least 4-1 at half time and could easily have been more. And that would not have flattered us in the slightest. We were hanging on

Oh forgot to mention the great crowd yesterday - from Aberdeen!  6400 of which the Dons must have had about 3200? they had south stand, plus the open end of main stand plus the wee west area, from my temporary seat in the center of the main stand the north stand looked half empty!  looks like we managed an extra 200 fans for a big game with a 3pm KO on a beautiful autumn day, kind of frustrating.

Must have the rose tinted specs on again.

I thought Polworth had a good game along with the rest of them.

The ball was getting moved through midfield with speed and accuracy. Which also included Polworth.

Agree with previous comment. Thought Polworth had a good game, moved the ball well and was very mobile. Special mention to Danny Devine, replacing big Warren is a tall order, but he seems to relish the challenge

I thought Polworth did well tbh especially as right mid is not really his natural position. No one let us down yesterday although I agree with Yogi that Motumbo looked a bit off the pace fitness wise but still did ok imo .

He's playing a lot better now that Josh is back keeping him right.

Just a few things to add to what has already been posted. Best performance first half that we have had for a good few months, pace and movement off the ball was excellent and Christie and Storey played exceptionally well. Aberdeen changed their formation in the second half moving Shinnie to left back and then had a better balance to the team. We did help them however by sitting far too deep and being slow to support on the few forward breaks we had but minor quibbles in a thoroughly enjoyable game despite the best efforts of the referee and Derek McInnes to spoil it.

The referee's performance yesterday was up there as one of the worst I have witnessed for many a year. He did seem to be trying his hardest to get Aberdeen into the game by giving a succession of free kicks (which were very very dubious) on the edge of the box and missing blatant fouls by Aberdeen players. Seemed very quick to book our players and react to shouts from Aberdeen players and their bench where McInnes was at it the whole game claiming for everything, complaining that our players were not being booked and generally trying to influence the game. Very disappointed with the antics of Shinnie and Rooney as well yesterday. Shinnie was going down at the merest touch and Rooney seemed to spend most of the time claiming for non existent fouls or our keeper wasting time. Thankfully this did not cost us the game but something seriously needs to be done on the quality of refereeing.

Sorry but I missed it--what was the referee's name?

Ta Buckets IBM.  and Merci Beaucoup as well Monsieur. :clapoverhead:
