Walking On Air ....part 2

Feb 9th 2000 saw me leaving the house with an awkward gait. It was as if I had bought a pair of Dr Martens but forgot about the purchase. All day I beamed at strangers in the street, whistled softly to myself, had the inner contentment that Tibetan monks strive for over years of sacrifice. The feeling lasted for several days and was compounded by the back slapping from well-wishers. I was a proud man.

Today, over 9years on, I feel a similar glow................quite remarkable

Quote of the night from a dewy eyed youngster at Ibrox:

" I love Russell Duncan in so many ways"

What a night, what a journey

So good you said it twice :rotflmao:

I know exactly how you feel, I'm so glad I made that journey. I hope this feeling lasts for a few days yet, loving it.

My thinking was - if Rngers don't score in first half we could maybe edge a point. For us to win in the way we did - a penalty at Ibrox in extra time!- well, if you predicted it you would be called a nutter! Thought I had broken my ribs with shouting and jumping up and down! I am also still floating - took hours to get to sleep. Bring on Falkirk - bring on the world!

Walking back down Broomloan Road to Brechins was fantastic. Huge smile on my face and a good group of ICT fans walking in amongst hundreds of Rangers fans. It was only a league game but felt like so much more.

That is / was as good as it gets. Here are some of the memories that make me smile:

Hissy's goal against Clyde.

The final whistle as we beat St Johnstone.

Bazza's volley at the Well QF.

Bagans goal at Tynie.

Harts run and cross - Denzil's finish against Cellic.

Dargos volley at Castle Greyskull.

Bayne chipping Letizi at Castle Greyskull.

Rankin's long ranger to feck the Huns.

Cowie makes it 3-2

Proctors winner at Easter Road.

Now I will stop and recall - any more ?
