what forward should Christie go for

Featured Replies

i think he should go for tom mcmanus hes free and could be good

a brazilian one!  striker that is,  not tam mcmanus.

tam mcmanus is p1sh - why would we want brewsters wee hibby bum chum who would scuttle off immediately if (and it's a big if) he has a good season.

We no longer want Robb, he panics and scores own goals. Lennon at Celtic can't pass and doesn't score many. Crespo was released by Chelsea on  a free but we didn't have the private jet available on a regular basis. Brewster is past his peak and brings bad luck to teams outwith Inverness.

Good attackers cost a fortune and are hard to find. When we get back to form we have lots of potentially good strikers especially if Bayne finds his confidence. Bayne is the player I would really like to see tapping them in.

Agent Robb merely ensured there was something to smile about on Saturday  :003: Tam Mcmanus for ICT ....Eh really dont think so.

not a bad shout... but would he be granted a work permit??

ive always argued the case for jason scotland!  he showed bags of potential at spl level - maybe if he was at a better team than the arabs he would have scored hundreds....

The United fans would LOVE us to sign Scotland  :015:

As has been said, he was released by United bebause he couldn't get a work permit to play in the SPL. I doubt if that will have changed.

What about Stenhousemuir's David Templeton??

Trials at Newcastle and Falkirk made an unsuccessful 20k bid - must be something about him??

As has been said, he was released by United bebause he couldn't get a work permit to play in the SPL. I doubt if that will have changed.

If the rules havent changed, he may well qualify based on a couple of criteria .....

- How many games he played for his Scottish club since signing

- How many International games he has played in - As a regular T&T player, who was involved in the WC, he may be automatically eligible if he has played a part (player/sub) in something like 80% of their most recent fixtures.

... the other questions are ... would we want him ? would he want to come to us ? and would St Johnstone be willing to sell ?

He tends to be in the T&T squad but doesn't play many games. And no, St Johnstone would not let him go as they are targeting promotion.
st j have just annnounced they lost nearlyhalf a million pounds last season, and with a strong div 1 may not go up this season,so iam sure a £80-100k bid would be accepted to help there prevent part time football fund

michie who?  :017:

Why not someone from eastern Europe? I'm a little bored with try hard, 'honest' professionals at the moment. Would gladly swap a Bayne for a wildly inconsistant, silky, enigma-within-a-mystery-within-a-conundrum-type player!!! He should preferably have long hair too.

im with the nude sumo wrestler on this one -  lets get the pound notes changed into some of those fancy new euros and sign ourselves the first floppy haired striker with an armani suit!
