Graeme Shinnie and Adam Rooney both scored in Aberdeen's 3-1 win at Motherwell tonight (23 Dec).  It was Shinnie's first goal in 2016.

S Winnall and M Watkins both score today (26 Dec) in a 2-0 win v Blackburn.  How we could do with either of these this season!

A Chippendale gets a consolation goal for Stalybridge Celtic in a 1-2 loss at home to Curzon Ashton

Adam Rooney scored the winner for Aberdeen and Doug Imrie got Hamilton's goal in today's (27 Dec) 2-1 win for Dons.

Johnny Hayes got Aberdeen's winner tonight (30 Dec) in a 1-0 win at Hearts  and

Michael Finnis got Clach's winner in a 2-1 win at Nairn.

Final goalscorers of 2016 today (31 Dec) were

Sam Winnall, yet again for Barnsley in a 2-2 draw with Birmingham, and

Curtis Allen for Glentoran in a 2-2 draw with Dungannon.

HAPPY NEW YEAR, although I suspect, it will be drowning our sorrows tonight, instead of celebrating.

Rory McAllister gets us underway in 2017, with the only goal in a 1-0 win for Peterhead, at Brechin.

Curtis Allen with two tonight,(3 Jan), in Glentoran's 5-0 win at Portadown

and of course i missed glentorans biggest win since 2012. Spoken with Curtis on many occasions and he remembers his short time at inverness fondly even though it didn't work out for him. He has been Glentorans best player since the day he signed

I was over in October when he scored against The Blues. Was made very welcome by Ricky Rea.

good to hear. Ricky Rea is a nice fella. Yes i remember that game well Was the new managers first game and one we were very unlucky to lose. We always welcome visitors with open arms if anyone is ever over they should give me a shout. Built a great bridge of friendship over the last few years. Would be great to get a few ICT friends over for a game. Would be fantastic to see a friendly between the clubs one day

Well done BB.  I missed those Irish Cup games.  Have added this goal into my running totals for 2017.

Only ex ICT scorer I spotted this afternoon (14 Jan) was Shane Sutherland in Elgin's 3-2 win over Annan.    Hope that is his lot now for this month, with our game against them coming up!

I did a bit of checking on Gregory Tade yesterday.  I think he is still with Qatar SC, although his Wiki page has him recorded as a free agent.  The Wiki page also indicates that he has scored 11 goals in 2016/17.  I know that at the end of 2016 I was able to find 4 references on Twitter for goals he had scored, so I included them in my 2016 year end summary.  I can't, as yet, find any proof of the other 7 he may have scored in 2017.  It is not impossible, for Qatar SC have played 3 or 4 matches in January and had two 7-0 wins, but detailed information on 'Soccerbase' etc is sketchy to say the least.  So, I'll wait a while to see if any further evidence comes to light before crediting him with these 7 for 2017.
