East Fife

Brilliant result for the Bayview Battlers. And for John Robertson.

And for Scarlet who used to walk a mile to go to their matches when he lived in Leven (and then Methil opposite the Wellesley coalpit Manager who became our good friend.).

Hoch! Hoch!

Delighted for Robbo, was amazed to see him out of football for so long.

Hope it makes it back to a high profile club again soon

Methil? Sheesh...

No wonder you moved to Canada Scarlet!

Andrew Cook of EFFC works beside me - can confirm that he made it into work yesterday  . However he only got away at 3.30 on Wed and made it to Pittodrie at 6.45 in time to get a place on the bench.

I've heard Robbo has quit East Fife...is this true??

He doesn't like the commute, unsurprisingly, and doesn't plan on being there much longer.

Scotsman:

"Part of the deal in my coming to East Fife was to groom Gordon (Durie)," revealed Robertson to The Scotsman yesterday. "It's down to Gordon. Whenever he feels comfortable, that's when we'll do it. We'd like it to be sooner rather than later, but whether it's two weeks or two months, it'll only be when Gordon feels comfortable."

Robertson was reminded of the need for urgency recently, when he fell asleep at the wheel on the way back up the A9 after training in Methil. "It was a few weeks ago," he said. "It was just a wee jolt, but hopefully it was a one-off. I just got out of the car and walked around for 30 minutes and got some fresh air."

Delighted that East Fife, Ayr & Falkirk know exactly how we felt at Parkhead in 2001!
