Hearts roll call

I'm looking forward to this one and am thinking a pub in town instead of gorgie would be the best bet.

I'm in for this one. £25 for an adult is steep is it not? Think it was only £20 last season.

The games on BBC ALBA and Im looking forward to the team showing the doubters what they can do.

Where do i book a seat on the fan bus for this?

Not the best away day in terms of the surrounding bars. I like to compare the bars to the Alamo friendliness. Gorgie bars are not friendly at all.

But the atmosphere is always great in the stadium. Top Six......... Grassmarket?

Ach, why not; travel booked. Tynecastle is the only SPL ground I've not been to yet. A chance for an Illegal Jacks burrito as well :)

What's the story with getting away end tickets?

In terms of pubs Tynecastle is a brilliant away day. THere are numerous tremendous boozers either side of the ground. Aside from Robertson or Stratfords I wouldnt' say any of them are unfriendly.Top Six is just a New Town yuppy who is too scared to go to a proper boozer. He probably wants to go to the Dome in George Street for a couple of pre-match Cosmo's. ;-)

Haha. He prefers Spoons. Famous fir their coffee mornings and buzzing match day experience ;)

Wetherspoons is horrific. Better drinking in the street than in there.

RossP- phone club and order ticket and collect them on day. £24 for this option or pay £25 at gate. Robbo's is under new management and the cops are there every night... avoid!!

Diggers is the place to be.

Just checked The Dome's website - bad news I'm afraid ICTChris - they don't have a cocktail menu! How about afternoon tea and then a leisurely stroll to Gorgie? (Or we could just have a few tins at my place.)

Seen that as well!

I think it has 3 police cars permanently outside every weekend.

Ardmillan hotel, it has a wee beer garden at the front and not too dangerous.

It'll probably end up being Diggers that most folk go to. Despite my bes tattempts to encourage people to venture into the old town lol

I'm doing exactly as I said in my text message - pub for 9am, booze, booze, booze, then the tgame then off to the Jack the Rippers to the max out my credit card. Anyone that doesn't do that isn't a real man.

Just noticed this; cheers for the heads up.

I'll phone tomorrow to see if I can buy a ticket and collect it at Tynecastle. I take it there's a gate or ticket office I go to at the away end?

Okay then, I give in. I'll go.

:drinking06:

If you check out the travel thread there's a hospitality offer as well!

Ross - Ticket office is in car park behind the rickety old main stand. Personally, I would just go for pay at the gate.
