The really worrying thing about tonight's game for me was that I thought the players gave their all and actually played pretty well within the tactics that were deployed. How bad will it get when perfo

The pre-match interview with JH was all about passing the ball. Aye great but watching the ball ping sideways, backwards, forwards, sideways, backwards sideways, forwards, sideways, all gets a bit pre

Not so sure about that. Hibs have a manager with a track record of being able to build a successful team if given time. Our manager's history offers no such cause for optimism.

Interesting starting line up. Especially Esson for Brill. Let's give it a right good go

Interview with the manager on Sportsound there. Jim Spence asked the question we've probably all wanted to hear asked: 'Are you trying to change too much too soon?' Hughes basically put his cards on the table: 'Terry liked to play with wingers; I like to play it through the middle.' He also said that the players would have to be patient in adapting to the system.

Fair play for the clarity. But given that the bulk of the existing squad are signed up for the new season, and we're probably limited in how many more we can bring in, it does raise questions for the future. Will he be prepared to change his system if (as looks the case so far) the current players can't get consistent result playing it? Or will he decide he needs to overhaul the squad and, if next season starts badly, will he be given the opportunity to do so?

Can't say I like the look of tonight's line-up, with Christie, potentially our most creative central midfielder, dropped to the bench, but maybe tonight will be the night it clicks...

Wow he has been reading the forum ! Shame that he hasn't gone the whole hog !!

He ain't read the bit about wingers

Still too many central midfielders and not the brave decision of going without Vincent and with Watkins and Williams. Shinnie in midfield is OK, dropping Brill is interesting.....

Please look up the meaning of the whole hog.

As he stated in his Pre match interview, he likes playing up the middle. I wonder how long he will persist with this, as it hasn't been working so far.

No width, too much passing in safe areas and no service to Billy. A change of strategy is needed badly.

BBC online: "forwards, you're going the wrong way, what's wrong with the penalty box from ICT fans" sounds a familiar tale. Given our record on comebacks this season, I suppose that is that. Please prove me wrong.

Why do we only have 6 subs?

All I can think is we need a team for U-20 game tomorrow

Lost the ability to defend. Lost the ability to attack with purpose. In anybody's book, JH has made one hell of an impact! Really disappointed.

also this from bbc

'The frustrated Inverness fans will have steam coming out of their ears now, having seen their side undone by a simple ball over the top. Much of the home side's play has been ponderous, with Billy McKay starved of service up front.'

Commentators saying all too predictable, poor quality, no width.

Ross and Watkins/Williams should be starting every game, especially with Doran out.

Just curious, what teams are/were successful without wingers?

Reading BBC online comments brings tears to the eyes: everybody can see it.....except the manager. Depressing.
