Central belt travel for Astra home

I was wondering if anyone thought it would be a good idea to arrange a coach or even a mini bus for this one.  I'm not 100% sure but am I right in thinking there's no public transport back on the night of the game, meaning the only option at the moment would be to stay over.

Thats a good idea and worth putting it out there.  I doubt i'll make the home game due to work commitments on the Friday but if there was a bus going up id be up for that.

I am on holiday during the home leg so sadly wont be able to make it, however I am certain there would be enough people to get even a mini bus.  If you open it up to Stirling and Perth punters you should be fine.

If I can get enough people I might be able to organise with a driver.

I'd be interested in this too.

you should be able to add an event in the calendar and have people RSVP so you know if its viable. the event will not appear automatically, it needs to be approved, but all members should have the ability to create one.

Good idea Scotty. Some more guys have expressed an interest and I've told them to post in here

I'd be interested as well.

I wasn't going to go as I need to be back for the Friday morning, but could go if there was a bus depending on the times it leaves on the Thursday.

Sadly my driver has pulled out, but I'm still looking to go. Scotty could you add an event like for the away game and see if we have the numbers at least to make it viable.

can you add the event yourself (you should be able to in the create menu above, or in the calendar) ... It wont appear immediately but I will approve it and when I do this means you will have control over editing it and adding more details. I am going to be offline from 9th-14th July so would not be able to edit or co-ordinate.

can't see anything in the calendar for this yet. We should be able to fill a mini bus surely?

I've now added an event to the calendar, hopefully now we will get a good idea on how many are going.

I'd be interested.
I have to be in work on the Friday morning, so depending on what time you are leaving and providing I can get out of work early on the Thursday afternoon I be keen to get to the game.

RSVP in the event Scotty has posted the link to if you are interested. So far we have 3 bums on seats.

Me x 2 and red card.

I'd be interested.

This is my position too.

I'll be driving up from Perth if anyone is interested in grabbing a lift. I'm afraid I'll be staying up the road though for the night but offer is there for 4 spaces in the car.

I live in Edinburgh and am really keen to go to the game but will have to be back for work in the morning, definitely would be interested in travel going up and back to the game.

So we have 5/6 people for this so far, anyone else?

Any update on this? I contacted a minibus firm which claimed to 'beat any quote' and he wanted £500 for a 16 seat minibus which I, without having any idea of how much hiring a bus costs, thought was pretty steep - even if we could fill it.

An 8 seater would cost about £100 plus fuel  to hire. Might be cheaper if you shop around. £20 deposit into a PayPal account would get things started. If one drives up and another drives down would be fair.

Found a hire firm.

8 seater £75.   14 or 15 seater  £90.

For the extra £25 you will have a lot more room.
