Dundee (A) - Sunday 28th July

Progression is in our own hands as they say.

I actually think the winner takes all situation surrounding this game is a good thing and could serve as a good platform for the start of the season, will certainly give an insight as to how level the playing field is.

Like ourselves Dundee haven't had it all their own way in the last three games and they'll be eager to prove a point that they are indeed worthy of their title contenders tag that most expect from them. New manager, new Technical Director and big turnover of players means I'm not so sure.

Saying that we'll need to be on the ball and defensively a lot better than the last three games, I expect to see us start tighter but believe we need to take the game to them from the start. Don't think there will be many changes in personnel, if any,  but maybe a change in tactics and approach.

Cautiously optimistic

  • So we're not even into August and we have already decided that we are gash on the back of what are a few pre-season fixtures. This may be the case and we may end up struggling. Might make se

Well, how shocking was that?  Easy to blame Ridgers for his howler, but in truth Dundee could/should have scored  3 or 4.  Our long ball puts towards White were poorer than schoolboy stuff.  Our so-ca

McKay sleeping when Vincent slipped, but Ridgers should do better

Obviously haven't learnt a thing from the last two games..  however we did improve in the second half.

I agree playing long balls up to White is a complete waste of time.

Gratifying that the standards of refereeing have not changed. I feel so sorry for the 134 souls who have been so let down - so far. Shurely we have to ring the changes ?

Would like to see Curry and Todorov.

With just over 12 minutes to go ? Smash and Grab ?

Jesus this is woeful.  Bereft of imagination, aggression and constantly giving the ball away.  Toddy and Currie but no chance of making an impact.  Defence have been sleeping through all the home games too with opposition just getting behind and cutting back. Yet we don’t react.?

Just not good enough.  Smash n grab for a draw required.  Toddy showing impact?

Our final delivery / cross has been from 30 to 40 yards out. Todorov has won nearly everything in the air and looks mobile.

Well that was p1sh......  Think Robbo will have a hairdryer going full blast in 5,4,3....

Agreed. Think he is a good signing or looks it so far.  Thankfully.  Unfortunately thought Jordan was poor, albeit a dreadful service.

Oh dear - Shockingly bad display - I was looking forward to my first Smileymometer of the season so here it is:

KEATINGS (1st half) - ???

TODOOV (12 mins) - ??

My thanks to Smirnoff for its ongoing support.

At least Dundee look just as bad.

On a positive note, no cup run to serve as a distraction.  A couple of boys from Herchies game yesterday could have done a job for us today....

So, not much to smile about!  2 shots on target??   FFS  something needs to change, we have been playing shyte for all the cup games and nothing alters his starting line up/tactics.

Going to get pumped if we play like this at the Arabs.

Well, how shocking was that?  Easy to blame Ridgers for his howler, but in truth Dundee could/should have scored  3 or 4.  Our long ball puts towards White were poorer than schoolboy stuff.  Our so-called play makers, Walsh and especially Doran created absolutely nothing.  Huge improvement needed if we are to make an early impression in the league .
