Alloa (A) 19 Dec 2020 - Matchday & Streaming Info

Erm, we have a game tomorrow right? Or is not being able to go to games just killing interest in football at the minute?

After playing Alloa a record 28 times last season this is the first of a mere 3 fixtures against them in this campaign. Fairly makes you pine for a pie in a roll. Despite playing well last season Alloa were often found languishing towards the bottom of the league and things are much the same this season. Except Alloa aren't playing well. They lost some important players at the end of last season like Kevin O'Hara, Robbie Deas, Iain Flannigan and Scott Banks. No wonder they aren't doing as well!

Games between the two sides have been pretty entertaining in the last couple of seasons including an enthralling Scottish Cup tie which we won with a late Charlie Trafford header. Wait, Trafford...header...winning goal...nope that's what it says. Anyway, yours truly lost his mind with that goal after one too many fruit ciders and can be seen falling over the advertising boards at the end of this video

Alloa use the Pixellot camera system for their games, as I understand it, but they don't seem to have been plagued by the same problems at Inverness for whatever reason. So perhaps you can be a bit more confident if you choose to part with a mere £12 to watch us "swat" the wasps aside or might we be "stung" by the home side?

  • With hindsight, I'd have paid for the first half then gone and washed my hair.

  • On reflection, it's only football. This virulent new strain of Covid puts things into perspective. Stay safe everyone.

I’ve lost the commentary in the last few minutes.

Aye they’ve just mentioned it. Harper, Deas and Devine at the back this week  with Brad pushed well forward out of the danger zone 😜

No idea as I missed that! My picture hung and I was refreshing. Lost commentary again. Pixellot at Alloa no better than ours. Hope we get the pictures up and trimming from the west side for the next home game!

We deserve to be ahead but this game  is not won yet.

BBC have given Deas the assist for Mckay’s goal.

MacGregor and Sutherland have had our best efforts.

Did you get in by the SPFL Portal? The pictures I’ve got are excellent via Alloa FC. Just wondering if they’re the same.

I am on Alloa tv. In fairness, other than a few times on the nearside the ball has generally been in view. It seems the wi fi for the commentary is their issue. No idea why my picture hung: it just did it once.

My picture hung several times in first few minutes. Then seemed to settle down.  Commentary totally useless.

Re the game, lots of good possession Would like us to create a few more decent chances,  Ridgers kicking worries me. More often than not he either finds an Alloa player, or it goes straight into touch

Let's hope for another goal or two and a safe away win.

Noticed that about Ridgers, always kicks long when he seems to have options.

Welsh and Doran on for Kennedy and Keatings.

Think we’ve switched Storey and Sutherland too.

Hope it lifts us as we are second best this half and keep giving away free kicks in dangerous positions.

ffs That's two needless free kicks given away by McGregor in the last few minute.  Get a grip lads.

That has been coming.  Alloa much better this half.  I couldn't see what exactly happened. Did Ridgers fumble it?

Ffs, why can’t we keep a lead, why are we so fragile at the back. Alloa are knackered from game mid week & missing a key player.....:...:::::: what chance have we got 👎

So disappointing. If we can't get anything from a game against Alloa even after taking an early lead, what chance do we have of promotion ?

Very poor second half. We should have been able to kick on after the early goal but realistically we didn’t deserve anything from the game. Alloa bossed the second half.

Well, that was a game of two halves all right. We looked fairly comfortable first half, but when Alloa came at us in the second half with a much more direct approach, we had no answer and all our defensive frailties came flooding back.  Very disappointing. We'll be lucky to make the top play offs at this rate.

Really disappointed with that result. From potentially 3rd, down to 6th !!!!!!!! Really not good enough.

What a shitfest of a result and performance. We should have gone for the jugular in the first half. Gave Alloa too much respect and ultimately paid the price. Really disappointing. What a comedown after the last few weeks.
