No more games against Dunfermline and Raith. 

If we can maintain a good run the home game against Dundee in 4 weeks could be the biggee! 

Potential banana skins in next few weeks though.

Our run in, with the points from the same game earlier in the season:

Arbroath H: 3

Morton A: 1

Queen of the South A: 3

Dundee H: 1

Hearts A: 0

Ayr H: 1

That was 9 points from 6 games, better than our average from the 21 games to date.

Other than Hearts, they are all games we can win if we maintain our recent level of performance.

The next three games may be the key if we are to finish in the top 4.  We need to target 9 points, 7 as a minimum.

Away from home we have the third best record with 15 points from 11 games, admittedly helped by the 6 points this week. Arbroath have the second worst away record  so hopefully their record doesn’t improve next Saturday.

One game at a time, maybe a slight shuffle of the pack for Tuesday,  but the level of performance needs to stay the same. 

Get the result we want and no fresh injury worries.

I'm just wondering what Neil will do for Tuesday's cup tie. No doubt some of the guys will need a break but would you upset the current momentum in the side? Would injuries allow for a shuffle?

I agree almost entirely but, if we can maintain the standard of commitment shown yesterday I would delete the words 'other than Hearts'. They have been beaten three times already this season by teams no better than us when we play at our best.

By the time we play them, the league title will be done and dusted and we will have, or at least ought to have, more reason to put in a shift than them.

If we want to get into the promotion play offs then we need to really push on in these last six games.  All the teams currently above us have played fewer games so we need to overhaul them.  I'd suggest we need to win all of our home games, especially the game against Dundee.  Of the three away games we have left we probably need to 'break even' so to speak, four points are a minimum from those.  Queens and Morton are normally the games we'd target while viewing Hearts away as a 'bonus' but Hearts will very likely have wrapped up the title by the time we play them and we shoudl definitely look at them as a potential three points.

I think it's too much to ask for a relatively small squad with injury worries and a brand new coaching team to be honest.  This league is very hard to predict as the teams are all so evenly matched and I think it's just a bridge too far for us to be looking up the way at this point.  We do have momentum, which is really important and we also seem to have stumbled, almost by accident, onto a defensive formation that's working for us but fundamentally I don't think we've got the firepower up front to go on the sort of run that's needed.  If you look at season 2017/18 where we went on a run to almost hit the play off spots, we won seven and drew one of our last eight games and in those Nathan Austin and George Oakley scored six and four goals between in those games.  Do we think a couple of our forwards are going to score three or four goals in the last six games?  Maybe the momentum will get them there but I think it's unlikely.  ETA - we also had the fortune of having two very poor sides in the league that year, Dumbarton and Brechin, both of whom we played in the run-in. There's no such easy meat in the division at the moment.

Half time in the Raith v Dunfermline game, league tables no looking to shabby as it stands.

Raith ripped them a new one in the first half, cant believe we beat them recently. 

Now 4-1. Dunfermline are on a really bad run: hope it continues until the end of April!

Prior to tonight, in the league they have won 2 and lost 4 of their last 6, and been knocked out of the cup by Morton.

 

At last we have made the top 4

Come on Hearts. Do us a favour and get 3 points today.

Ah yes, the indoor venue (which we've been told is where the virus spreads worse), is allowed to open it's doors to attendees.

Meanwhile, no more than 2 miles away, the outdoor venue is still being forced to play behind closed doors because...

This is the time where fans want to be in more than ever, and the team will want a vocal support going through the playoffs, but nah, you can only see something live if it happens to be a stage show from the West End.

Should've had a further look tbf, but doesn't change the fact that we'll probably still be locked out come next season...

This may be controversial, but hopefully the main sports bodies in Scotland do what organisations like the Football League have done down south and speak in favour of some form of certification to allow fans in (vaccine, already had the virus, negative test) and we get crowds in.

12000 are proposed for Hampden for the Euros, which is 25%. Even if that percentage is applied for league football, that would let us get over 1800 in which should allow season ticket holders to attend home games.

Fingers crossed.
