Ross County Down ( Snigger )

Getting pumped by Livvy 4 -2 with minutes to go!    i can't say i'm shocked as they have avoided the drop on a few recent occasions!

Cowie will keep his job or will sugar daddy Roy decide to get someone new?  one thing for sure there will be an exodus of mercenaries heading over the bridge!

  • You don’t need AI Don, artist George Stubbs predicted this result way back in 1770. Although I’m not actually sure if that is a lion or Rod Stewart!

As a different example of ignorance, I used to get upset whenever I saw something saying that County was the "most northerly" SPFL club. I corrected The Guardian more than once, and pointed it out to

Easy to see why you'd think of County - you have to travel northwards from Sneck. But in fact the correct answer is Elgin City, whose ground I calculated to be about 4 miles further north than County's. Have a look at a map if you don't believe me.

And today the most northerly Scottish senior team plays Stranraer, the most southerly. (and most westerly!)

Which I suppose has bog-all to do with Ross County, the title of this thread!

Creetown, St Cuthberts’ Wanderers and Wigtown & Bladnoch would like a word!

Too far down the food chain to be classed as "senior" teams!

And Clach!

In case anyone missed this in the Ross-shire Journal or even thought Uncle Roy was pumping money into a group of travelling footballers 'Ross County captain Declan Gallagher insists the club’s experienced players are not in Dingwall just to collect wages and add to their retirement fund – with their professional reputations on the line with the club’s fortunes.'

He added 'I know the fans think that we don’t care as footballers, that we just pick up a wage. That’s not the case.'

Well that clears that one up!!

We are delighted to announce the appointment of Tony Docherty as the new Manager of Ross County Football Club.

Chief Executive Steven Ferguson said: “We are thrilled to welcome Tony Docherty to Ross County.

"He brings with him not only a wealth of experience and proven leadership but also a clear alignment with our club values and long-term vision.

"His commitment to embedding himself within our club and community gives us great confidence as we work together to secure our place back in the Scottish Premiership.

"We were hugely encouraged by the quality of applications we received during the process, and we would like to thank all those who expressed interest in leading our club.

THRILLED!!! THRILLED!!!!

Another ‘mutual consent’ announcement!

Sir Roy must be muffling his curses on the Sabbath!!

Wonder who the next Convertor and full believer will be drawn to Sir Roy’s vision. Must be the lure of angels that brings them up the A9.

Roy is investing a fortune into some big name players. Hale is valued at £1m. Agent Robbo is doing a good job....but not for County!! County are clearly too good and too big to get relegated. This is all quite sad.....................

What happens if County decide they need Kellacher to save them?!

I'd expect Kells would treat such an approach with the deserved contempt!

Ground should be renamed the ‘Mutual Consent Stadium’ in recognition of Sir Roy’s contribution to promoting and introducing managers into Scottish Football.

Must admit I crack up every time I see the title of this thread (snigger)!

Jason Moriarty appointed as Head of Performance

Jason Moriarty appointed as Head of Performance

Appointed 1 March 2024 he must be bricking it!

Jack Wells Morrison signs for Ross County on the 18th December 2025.

However, get ready for the annual Ross County New Year Sale as 'Interim Ross County manager John Robertson has just done a head count and says the struggling Championship club have too many players'.

'Looking for a White Christmas, we have Jordan at £1.50. Fancy a real bargain, why not take two for the price of one - try Gallagher and Lyall. Your Doctor may be a disruptive striker but we have Hale and Clark so well paid that striking is not an issue. A real catch is Laidlaw. In April 2025 he put his future talks on ice - £10 is all County want for him now - however, there are no catches with him!! Another two for one deal could involve Noah Chilvers and basically anyone else. Just head over to the Jail End Caravan and submit your bids. For £2.50 you can also buy a raffle ticket to win the player of your choice. Please help Robbo cut the number of players on our books. Wishing everyone a happy Xmas and New Year except ICT FC. Hope we do not pass one another in May 2026!'

Stuart Kettlewell appointed Manager until the end of the season.

It’s a logical (and safe) decision for both ends of the ‘deal’.

For Kettlewell it gets him a last gasp five month stint at trying to scrap back some sort of credibility to an otherwise ‘gone for evermore’ position as a manager/coach. (Out with Indian).

For Sir Roy, First, it’s cheap. It also takes the immediate heat and flack of him. He knows also Kettley will do whatever Sir Roy says.

SK is a known and relatable person to the fans, who for the bulk (I guess) will consider him (if not with delight) as ‘one of their own’. He was dumped by Sir Roy with pet Ferguson being ‘promoted’ to CEO. A lot of Coonty fans didn’t (and still don’t) look kindly on this treatment, hence with some reluctant willingness will give SK a 5 month chance to prove himself.

I have the feeling this arrangement may work out for both SW and the sweating old Sir Roy.

19th December 2020

'Stuart Kettlewell has been "relieved of his duties" as Ross County manager following their 2-0 home defeat by Hamilton Academical.

Kettlewell revealed his departure in a BBC Scotland interview after the loss left his team four points adrift at the bottom of the Scottish Premiership.

County then confirmed the news, which comes after a run of 10 league games without a win, eight of them defeats.

"From my point of view it's obviously gut wrenching," said Kettlewell.'

Bad luck if you ask me - sacked when only 4 points adrift, brought back when 5 points adrift.
