Chris Finnegan

Harsh! Okay so I've only seen him once but he had a fair bit of pace about him, his touch looked good and he seemed to be a decent prospect for us. Suprised he is being told that he is having to move on.

Pity for the guy, the times i watched him play for the reserves he was never outstanding.

What about the other one or two that were mentioned for release?

Yes he is a good enough young footballer, but it's no secret that they can't all make it. Charlie said he would be letting a couple go, so I'm glad it's not a first team player.

2 leaving.

Anymore to follow??

I think maybe 1 or 2 more!

The casualty rate for young footballers is always high. Hopefully he will not be too discouraged and will go on to find his level in the game.

Young lads have been given a chance and a contract. If they dont give 100% workrate in return then they dont deserve to stay. Thats what our youth policy does. We give them the chance then its up to them. Theres every chance that lads like Chris will accept the proverbial 'kick up the bum' and shine elswhere. I hope so.
