End of Brewster's playing career?

Heard last night from a source very close to CB that he has done more damage to his shoulder/collar bone during a training session yesterday.... He won't play on Saturday and is likely to be out for the rest of this year...

He might even now be thinking about hanging up his boots and concentrating on management.

It's got to happen sometime ............

and with Wyness and Niculae playing so well together

I can't think of a better time.

It will help Brew's continuing development as an SPL Manager.

Have to agree with Yngwie... He is our best striker by a country mile...

I would have said a top six finish this season would have been a very realistic target given a fully fit Brew for the rest of this season...

If true, it might be a blessing in disguise leaving him to concentrate fully on developing as a manager.

Interesting you say that when most folk say the reason he was so successful at ICT was because he was still playing so much.

Good. I think we need him. At least to come off the subs bench. Bring it on!

I hope he keeps his playing career going for as long as he possibly can. The only people who'll celebrate him hanging up his boots will be our opponents.

I heard that Brewster has a knee injury as well as his shoulder anyone else heard this  :024:

Fact is he's not getting any younger and regardless of fitness he's going to take longer to recover from the knocks.

i think he coud still do a job from the bench when required

Craig Brewster aggrivated injury at trainiing lat week but is going to see specialist surgeon on thursday to get opinion but given he goes for surgery this would indicate he will come back as a player.  SEE BBC SITE

Brewster to seek shoulder advice

Brewster was injured playing for Aberdeen before moving to Caley

Craig Brewster will meet with a surgeon on Thursday to find out if he will need an operation to repair his troublesome shoulder injury.

The Inverness Caledonian Thistle player-manager dislocated his shoulder in January playing for Aberdeen.

He damaged it again playing for Caley Thistle in the 3-0 CIS Cup win over Gretna last month.

Brewster was in the dug-out for Caley's 4-0 win over Gretna in the SPL on Saturday at Fir Park.
