PLAYER SPONSORSHIP: 2010-11 Season

Player we are sponsoring - Grant Munro.

The price for next year is not known yet but we would like to keep it as close to £10 per share as possible. If you are making arrangements to pay Guzz directly then fair enough, give her a tenner and she (or we) will update the table below. If you are paying by Paypal it will be slightly more as they charge a transaction fee to the person receiving funds. It will work out around £10.60.

Once we know how many sponsors we have, Guzz can make a decision on what gets sponsored. The first item will of course be Grant's Home Kit as we have done that since he was just a young 'starlet' .. but the more sponsors we get the more we can sponsor and the more chance you have of receiving one of the gifts given to the player sponsors at the end of next season .........

If you are interested, please add your name to this thread along with how many shares you want and we will update the table below. You will be marked as once Guzz confirms payment received via paypal or more traditional means .... To pay via paypal just click the "Buy Now" link at the bottom of this post. You can use an existing PayPal account or your credit/debit card to make a paypal payment. IMPORTANT - Please add your site username to the comments area when making the payment as sometimes it is not easy to figure out who someone is on the site from their paypal identity !!!

I presume IHE's ongoing brussel-sprout gag is because Brussels is in Belgium, as is Antwerp... hence, it's funny (to me, anyway ) I don't think it really needed explaining!! But well done anyway Sherlock for deciphering it!1 point

To be honest, although it's a style that's been around for two seasons.. I've grown to like it. Big positive is the return of the stripes! And the Orion logo looks rather nifty on it too, glad they placed "orion" under rather than beside the type... as a designer, I seem to be worried about things like that :P Think they got the best they could out of this design.1 point

The Football Association today proudly unveiled fcuk, Total and UPS as the new sponsors of the England football team. ?The combination of these three corporate giants perfectly captures the ethos of the England side,? said an FA spokesman. ?After all, they had nothing in the tank when it counted, and they?ve proved themselves to be a bunch of expensive posers who always fail to deliver.? The new shirts come in a range of bright ?easy to spot? colours after claims from England players that the old kit was painted in ?magic invisible ink? which made it impossible to pick out an easy and obvious pass to a team mate. The new shirts are also made of a super lightweight material, unlike the old tops which were apparently made of extra-heavy chain mail which left the Premiership stars lumbering around looking exhausted and unfit. However, one criticism has been made of the design of the new England kit with claims that the neck hole was inexplicably too small for the heads of the Premiership stars. Players say this will make it very hard to pull the shirt off during an over-exuberant goal celebration, but a spokesman for the manufacturers said ?we don?t envisage this being a problem.?1 point

Don't know where you get that line up from. That's dropping McGregor, Bougherra, Miller and Davis from the line-up entirely, not to mention Smith looking to buy wide players as a priority. So you'll actually have a backline of Whittaker, Weir/Bougherra/Webster, Papac, with Broadfoot filling in as and when. I have little preference as to which of the OF wins (I'd far rather Hibs, Dundee United etc etc) but that seems a pretty formidable defence to me.1 point

I think we wil prob hit Yates as it is really cheap. Is it far to get to the bus stop from there? (take it from this thread that tram isn't an option?) Sports bar at the ground for a few before kick off sounds good as well for a bounce :boldblue:1 point

I wonder how long we can keep a thread going on ducks on a football forum? But here's an absolutely true story about ducks - or to be more precise, about Duck and duck. My aunt's maiden name was Duck, She died a couple of years ago and I went down South for the funeral. I was staying with my brother and after we left the crematorium we spent some time with my cousins before driving back to my brother's in time for an evening meal. Without thinking, my sister in law had decided on duck for the meal. Now, she is usually a very good cook, but on this occasion when she brought the dish through she announced, "I'm really sorry folks, but I've cremated the duck!" The look of horror on her face when she realised what an indelicate thing that was to say in the circumstances was a joy to behold. We had a good laugh about it but were thankful our cousins were not there to be offended.1 point

Exactly, I don't understand why they just don't show us what it looks like as soon as they get it. What's the point in all this press release nonsense? This is ICT, not Barcelona. The world's press aren't going to be outside the Caley Park in anticipation of the new kit. They should just release it straight away. It's the fans that will be buying it anyway.1 point

Personally I feel the four at the top will fight it right to the wire but that one of the Glasgow two will come out on top. We had five seasons in the SPL. If that wasn't enough to sell the club to spectators then I can't see anything changing. Until the offspring of OF supporting Invernessians see the error of their parent's ways our crowds will remain as was.1 point

Top menu now in place. Still some adjustments to do and some pages to add but for now you can get to the main pages from there Yes reputation now enabled. 3 positive and 1 negative rep can be given out in a 24 hour period. We will monitor it and if it is done properly (voting up good posts and voting down nonsense) we may increase that number. if we feel its being abused or enabling grudges or some form of cyber bullying we will disable it. Nope, thats the way to do it. On the view new content page where you see the list of threads there is a "mark all as read" link on the right hand side of the red title bar. This will mark all the new threads in that list as read. There is also a "mark board as read" at the bottom of every page on the site. Clicking that will mark the whole site as read too. One final mention on "new content" is that you can also change what is displayed there by clicking on the MY SETTINGS option beside your profile link at the top right and adjusting it in your control panel. By default it will show you all new posts since your last visit but if you prefer (and you dont clear out all posts by marking them all as read) you can change that to show you all posts you havent read regardless of your last visit ........ (like the old system) Sorry, I may be having a brain fart after doing all this and tweaking literally hundreds of little settings but which button do you mean ? We never mind constructive criticism and it is always good to hear about things that maybe arent as nice as they could be. I tend to agree with you on the arial font (I like Calibri myself) but it is definitely preferable to something like Times new roman !!! Once we get the main bits and pieces out of the way we can sit back and look at tweaking some of this stuff. We have also added some generic (unedited other than the logo) templates which you can choose at the bottom of the screen ....... CTO is the default cutom template we are using (red/blue) but we have also added the default template, the default mobile template (great for phones where most smartphones auto-detect it and use it or for low quality connections), and another called cleancut. You can switch back and forth between them with ease via the bottom of the screen. We will also be adding a couple of generic red templates for all those who prefer red and a couple of blue ones for those who prefer blue !!! These will likely be pretty much "off the shelf" template with only minor tweaks. CTO is the template we will tweak the most !1 point

The average human can make noise to around 70 dB (decibel) The average plane taking off produces between 120 and 140 dB The workplace limit for noise is 90 dB on a time weighted average of 8 hours. Permanent hearing damage can occur at 85 dB The vuvuzela produces 127 dB That, for me, should be enough reason to have them banned. Why should I risk future disability from unwanted noise being blasted into my lugs. These things could force many fans away from football for the reasons I outline. Added the following table which comes from the Health and Safety at Work Act regulations on noise in the workplace. Continuous dB......Permissible Exposure Time 85 db............................8 hours 88 dB............................4 hours 91 db............................2 hours 94 db............................1 hour 97 db............................30 minutes 100 db..........................15 minutes 103 db..........................7.5 minutes 106 dB..........................3.75 min (< 4min) 109 dB..........................1.875 min (< 2min) 112 dB..........................0.9375 min (~1 min) 115 dB..........................0.46875 min (~30 sec) Where would you fit the Vuvuzela into that? Note that each 3 decibel increase halves the time exposure. My calculations say around 1.87 sec.-1 points

Well I believe that, if anyone is going to break the OF dominance, the signs are that this season will be the best chance to do it. I think it will be a very close run thing at the top, up to the split. It may well be that DU cannot sustain a push but if they can continue the momentum of last season and build on it then who knows. I also believe we have a team that can challenge for a top six place this season. Thats based on having last seasons backbone and a few good signings to bolster them. The others in the league are not adding anything more than squad players and I think that the management team have it in mind to do with us what they done with Motherwell. But then, of course I'm taking the ****!. After all, at 53, how can I be expected to have a better understanding of the goings on than a 14 year old.-1 points
