  1. Should the club maybe harness the power of Facebook to promote the club and try to recruit more fans and make people aware of games and such like? i am sure they maybe have something in place now but putting events on etc. might be something.

  8. Would also love long sleeved tops, i like all my football shirts long sleeved, but i know the reason for the club not getting them. I would, however, love an up to date mini strip for my car and van - the flybe one was so last year.

  10. Here, it can't just be me that thinks getting another 4/6/8 teams in the SPL will lead to the filth thumping more teams, more often? I ken the dons got pumped by Celtic, as did we in the league cup but, if you get more teams in, there will be even less money going about, which would lead to EVEN worse players playing in the league. If you want a fair system, you need fairer distribution of the money, like the NBA, NHL and NFL. That's never going to happen, so it's never going to be fair. The idea of getting more meaningless games, to develop young players isn't really based on sound logic. Just set up a bunch of friendly's then. No pressure. All clubs are free to develop their own players at any point, and getting relegated is not the reason why it's not done. Look at Hamilton, they had a couple of their own youth players keeping them in the league until they sold them, because they need the cash. Less teams, more cash, hold on to your youngsters for longer. Hibs have produced plenty players that made the first team, as have Hearts, Rangers and Dundee UTD. A lot of their players have made the Scotland squads as well. Going to 10 teams does mean teams like St Mirren, Hamilton and St Johnstone will become yo yo (not like homeboys, but like up and down) teams, but it's sport, this happens. So, no, I don't think anyone should be boycotting anything.

  11. Just a note to remind people that this forum is not an official club communication point, and whilst I don't doubt that there's people who will pass information on when they see it, you should not be relying on such and it's safer if you contact the club directly with any questions, requests or information.

  12. Why are we, the punters, not down as option 4? I, like most of us I imagine, give SKY Sports and ESPN about ?50 per month to watch football live. I do it because I love to have, almost every night, live football in my front room (kitchen, lounge and bedroom!). No one is making me do it, it's a choice. If I, and hundreds of thousands like me (is it millions?) did not do so then there wouldn't be the ridiculous sums of money in our game now. We all know it's ruining it, we can all see the consequences but we still do it. Punters are as much to blame as any of the three choices listed. It's just easier to lay the blame elsewhere. A boycott of this type on a European basis is the only way I see the game changing. Do we have the desire?

  14. It's perhaps worth noting at this stage that if the mother has been charged, then there are severe legal constraints as to what can and cannot be said in the public domain. I'm not an expert on law and journalism, but Smee does appear to have made a comment which presumes guilt and which could, as a result, be illegal.

  15. No IMO!! Waste of time and man power. Facebook has many caley fan sites that have the info available. I doubt having an official F/B would increase attendances, shirts sales or the popularity of the club.

  16. Is this subsidising the team bus or the supporters bus? If the team bus, then good on the supporters club for doing their bit to help the club. If it's the supporters bus then surely they should be charging more and not expecting other people to pay for them to travel to games?
