  1. What the hell? My back garden in Inshes is playable. If this is all that's required to get a game of football postponed these days, no-one will get their season finished! What a complete and utter joke. It's a bit wet. You're a bunch of grown men - man up and get on with it.
  2. The Scottish football authorities deserve all the criticism they receive .. they have no thought or consideration for fans who attend their games. To postpone a game in April two less than two hours before the scheduled kick off demonstrates how little if any thought was given to travelling fans of both clubs. The Met Office Invent forecasting system has a site for the Caledonian Stadium in Inverness. The forecast last night was for heavy rain from 02.00 hours until 10,00 hours this morning, followed by good drying conditions, a rising south westerly wind and sunshine. By midday the pitch will be draining and drying quite quickly .. by 15.00 hours it should be perfectly playable. Why was there no earlier inspection ? This nonsense of refusing to use local referees and having to use the match official in the SPL must stop .. none of this is the club's fault just part and parcel of fans being at the bottom of the list .. Health and Safety of pampered players and television timing dominate everything. I was on my way to the game having already checked that the game was on when I heard there was an inspection under way. It is a fair distance from the North West Highlands to Inverness but Caley are our team and my daughter and I were prepared to make the early start due to the midday kick off .. so we turned around and went home. If I was a Celtic fan I would be fuming. Scottish football organisation is a shambles .. a ten club SPL, inconvenient kick off times, lack of information, appalling communications, no sense of urgency, referee's strike, out of touch senior management .. the list goes on .. and finally zero consultation with you and me . the fans.
  3. According to the Celtic website ....... Fans must come first !!!! http://www.celticfc.net/newsstory?item=891 The article is typical platitudes and spin, but I do agree with some of it. Totally agree. We think we are hard done by, but fans of the OF have even less chance to plan their footy for the year - most of their games are TV games and most are moved to weird times. I do have some sympathy for them but to Mr Lawwell I would say this ..... YOU decided that TV was more important than the fans and YOU can change that. Apart from the fact that Tommy will now boot your arse when he sees you, you are correct. There is indeedsomething wrong with our drainage. Its called the bullshit we had to go through to install under soil heating, a Premier League requirement that your mob had a hand in deciding upon. How many games were cancelled at the TCS because of the pitch itself PRIOR to under soil heating ? I believe it was ONE ! I rest my case. See answer above !!! Its because of the USH !!! If you let teams have 'adequate pitch protection' instead of the one-size fits all (or doesnt) golden goose that is USH then it would not be an issue. The TCS pitch was designed with a specific camber that not only supported wing play from the players but also allowed water to drain effectively and the proximity to the sea water also tended to prevent the worst of the elements from freezing it. Our pitch and its drainage was only ruined by following SPL rules ! [/rant over]
  4. But a police officer in that situation doesn't come over being aggressive though. They'll communicate with the offender and probably ask them what they've done wrong. Surely there's a difference between breaking the law by speeding on a motorway (which could result in fatalities) and breaking a rule by standing at a football game? It doesn't help when the stewards get in the faces of the paying customers though - the customers who are paying their wages. I stood during our 2-2 game at celtic park - I had to because if I had sat I wouldn't have been able to see a fair amount of the play due to the wall. The stewards were ignorant, unpleasant and downright rude to be honest about it. Think back to the way the stewards acted at st mirren park a few months ago - bang out of order. Even at our ground there is one steward i can think of who is OTT and is putting people off from going to games. (I very much grudge paying her wage to be very honest). There's only one solution to this - don't go to games and don't pay their wages.
  5. http://blogs.soccernet.com/celtic/archives/2011/04/amateur_hour_as_ict_v_celtic_g.php really cannot say much about this article other than : TWAT !!!! Surprised ESPN associate with it, especially as all his other articles appear to be inflammatory too.
  6. Amazed this is off, when i saw the thread i thought someone had taken the April fool joke from yesterday too far,Still, I,m sure their was nothing that could be done or Tommy would have done it

If you chose to choose choose, then you chose the right one, however, if your choice was chose instead of choose, then you should have chosen choose because it's the correct choice, not chose, that should give you something to chew over, although it's your choice which one to choose................I'll get ma shoes. ICT is for life, not just Xmas.
  10. Have you ever seen/heard a good choir sing sitting down all the time? Standing gives your lungs more capacity and unrestricted air flow so allowing you to sing louder. Therefor, creating a noise which if put together with fellow singers,= support that helps drive team on, and therfor, creates an atmosphere. Drink, allows those of a quieter disposition or shy, like myself, the ability to join in with the choir. making more noise= more support for team and creates an atmosphere
