  1. Sorry. cannot share your views here. Whilst the owner may have displayed 'comic book villain' types of behaviour at times over the last few years, and seemed to shake up the management team anytime anything looked like going right, and while they may have an element of undesirables within their support ... just like ANY other club (including ICT), I cannot subscribe to the notion that seeing ANY club potentially go to the wall is to be viewed in any way as a positive thing. I would not wish it on County or Elgin, I wouldnt even wish it on the OF, and I certainly dont wish it on Hearts. In this situation, it is the vast majority of "normal" supporters who suffer, the guys who week in and week out, year in and year out have supported Hearts through the good times, and the bad ..... I know several Hearts supporters on this side of the pond that also go to Toronto FC matches and they are all thoroughly decent. Wishing ill on their club is like stabbing those friends in the back IMHO.

  2. Dundee got 25 point penalty (and an embargo on signing players) instead of 10pts because it was the second time in 7 years they had gone into administration. The statement at the time said "We are of the opinion that lessons are not being learned ... Clubs have to realise that they can't treat their Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs tax obligations as something akin to a credit card." If Rangers and/or Hearts go into administration, I would imagine it would be the standard 10 point penalty and nothing as swingeing as Dundee. Funnily enough, looking up Administration brought up an interesting wiki page showing dates, penalties applied (or not) and what seems to be a discrepancy between Scotland and England ... Clubs in England get a second penalty if they are still in Admin at the start of the next season, clubs in Scotland dont seem to suffer that fate http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Administration_%28British_football%29#Scottish_clubs_that_have_entered_administration

  4. I think your all barking up the wrong tree with last man and a goal scoring opperchancity. It was a 50 50 challenge, all Hogg had to do was slow him down till Tokes got within range, from viewing the BBC footage he seemed to go to ground very easily and also changed trajectory. If a foul was committed the player will go down in the same line of travel, especially if running at speed. My interpretation of the video is that Hogg was trying to force him off the ball, the player had to counteract this force by leaning in too,he had the better of Hogg and fell infront of him as soon as he got past due to leaning sideways,or went down intentionally, which accounts for the change in direction. Didnt even warrant a yellow never mind a red Can anyone actually see any contact. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/scotland/15513344.stm Can someone remind me if the Motherwell fans were up in arms after the clash and if they made the same amount of noise as the North stand did when the ref awarded a goal kick to Well when it was obvious to our fans that it was an ICT corner. I would say there is a greater claim for a foul on Sutherland at 3:15 into the video.

  5. It's such a vague rule that you get about 20 variations on it every time something like this crops up. For me a "clear goal scoring opportunity" is the attacking player being fouled whilst through on goal with the ball under full control and/or being in the process of taking a shot which could not be blocked/prevented by anyone other than the goalkeeper. I don't think the ball was under full control at the time of the foul. Murphy was running to the left and played the ball straight up the park...a good distance away from himself. He certainly wasn't shaping up to shoot. Whether Tokely or anyone else would have been on the scene in time is neither here nor there, IMO. Anywhere else on the park, and I doubt that would even have been a free kick.

  7. A travesty of Justice yesterday but unfortunately the club Captain did little to enhance his reputation. Yet another poor performance from Foran but he seems to blame the other players. Perhaps he needs to give up the captain's role for a while until he is fully fit and out-performing the other players! Who would be best captain? Is it best that he be a mid-fielder? Davis looks the part but he is only here for a short while! neksor

  9. Delighted to see Hearts and some of the repulsive individuals that follow them get their just desserts! As for Blackie................suggest Elgin City is a more likely destination than one of the OF. Totally over rated as a player by many on this site and (from the limited number those I know in the game) regarding as nothing but a jumped up little thug!
