I think he has been good for us. He will probably be missed in midfield. and good luck to him. But, against Dunfermline, should we be playing a player who doesn't want to be here. I would rather let him go down the road, and let someone come in and try to win a place in the team. Someone who wants, and will be here after the weekend.

Kudos to young Marc Hurst for donating his prized ICT possessions to the Raigmore Children's Ward appeal .... Marc, as many of you will know is the son of "Mrs Jnr" (nee 'cutecaleychick') and stepson of Gringo Jnr on these very boards and like his stepdad (and the rest of us) very proud of his ICT gear .... All tickets already purchased at this price are still valid and tickets can still be purchased at £5. I have a season ticket and like my seat as well as the priority I get for other cup games and as a fan I am delighted that the club have made this gesture, especially for the travelling support who were already either in Inverness or very close

and he agrees with me. There is something weird going on down in the bowels of the SFA. ICT have not managed to win one penalty in the SPL for one whole calendar year, referees are "missing" fouls on our players which could quite easily have crippled them and seen them turning out for the amputee paralympic team, despite the fact that the player still managed to finish the match. I put it to you this is not just because we are missing the odd wee drop in the box from the likes of Munro or Rooney and Johnny Hayes being out injured for so long, this is because there is some weird conspiracy going on. My wee Celtic supporting chum has given me some sound advice, he reckons we could claim that since the Highlands is such a hotbed of native gaelic speakers we could claim the racism card, seeing as how the Gaelic language arrived on our shores through Ireland we must all have originated from their at some point in our ancestry. He reckons too that we should start a twatter campaign against any referee who annoys us, send him videos which are slowed right down for maximum effect, perhaps do our Highland march from our last home game to Hampden to demand changes and force the refs into striking as that will give more publicity to our cause. We could even start e.bombing random arbitrary bodies with any thing which we deem to be unsporting or even downright unjust. We can do it guys, we can emulate the "best supporters in the world" who is with me?

There are people looking like dicks by sending referees tweets with video attached, there are people calling for fans to contact the SFA's compliance officer over a tackle which looks like primary school stuff in comparison to some of Ross Tokely's, there are people e-mailing the club to demand answers on irrelevant matters and when this is pointed out the admin and their erselickers round like shoaling piranha to tear any dissenters apart, there's nothing like a bit of mob rule. My thread here is not only relevant to the forum in which it was placed, it has also shown the CTO branch of the ICT support to be exactly what everyone I have talked to at matches claims it to be.

I've never used twitter or facebook and don't intend to start now. I don't know their rules and whilst I understand the outrage being expressed here, I imagine the situation is not as straightforward as we might think it ought to be. These international networks are, after all, quite different from CTO. They do not focus on a single topic, they have vastly more members and could not possibly hope to have the same level of moderation as we have here. The rules are different of neccessity. It could be argued that when someone posts something you find offensive and you report it that something should be done about it. In practice, there will not be the resource for that and in any case, just because you may find something offensive does not mean it is not a legitimate point of view. Hence you get the stock reply. Remember, opinions are just that and can change radically over a short period of time. In fact, it is astonishing how quickly attitudes do change and one only has to think about attitudes to race in the USA in particular or to homosexuality in this country to see how attitudes which were openly held by a large minority or even a majority just a few decades ago are now considered so outrageous that we question the right of others to express those views. We may find those view repugnant now but does that give us the right to stop others expressing them? I don't think so. You counter those views by the strength of argument and where such views are voiced just to wind up and offend others then simply ignoring them is the best approach. In that respect, the statement from Twitter is fair enough. You may then say that you should ban folk who break the law or who incite others to. Again, it is not so straightforward as we might like. There are times when breaking the law is entirely appropriate. For instance, you would not ban someone for suggesting that if you were in your car in a 30mph zone and you saw a tsunami in your mirror approaching at 40mph that you should forget the speed limit and put your foot on the gas. And would you ban folk from Twitter for suggesting that the people in Syria should oppose the regime there? I sincerely hope not. These are muddy waters and I think what it boils down to is that folk will have accounts closed when their behaviour is seen to be disruptive rather than when they express views which others may find offensive. Freedom of speech is a precious thing and being offended once in a while is the price we pay for that. So how can you avoid being exposed to these morons and offended by what they say? Simple. Do what I do and stick to CTO.

I trust this forum will not be used again to incite ICT fans to rush down to the stadium and clear the pitch of snow. Such irresponsible action might be interpretted as inciting a mob of young men to intimidate the referee into changing his decision and declaring the pitch playable when before their arrival he considered it unplayable. Such behaviour cannot be tolerated.

I'm sure I read in the Sun yesterday a short article about Wolves wanting to take Davis back in January as there is interest from various Championship sides that would result in better experience for him, in their opinion, and also means that he is closer to them should they want to recall him. Glad Roman is staying on until the end of the season, along with the fact he has come on leaps and bounds it also means we don't need to go out and look for someone else who we would have to intergrate into the team and squad as well, it always takes a bit of time for someone to settle in and with a January signing generally that time isn't there and they need to hit the ground running.

Our terms of service dont make use of IQ levels as a membership factor so if "the idiots amongst us" (your words, not mine), want to follow through then so be it .... not our problem, not our fault, and we are not going to stifle this or any other decent discussion that comes along on the basis that it might cause stupid people to do stupid things !!!! I happen to think most of our fans are relatively intelligent -- they do follow ICT instead of other teams after all - but if the people you are labelling with that brush are truly idiots then the eloquence of their complaint will surely see them get short shrift from the beaks ! For my own part, I am not going to be writing any letters, I am way too busy for that .... but I do hope the compliance folk look at it, and I would actually agree that the best course of action is for the club and the player to make a complaint if they want to ....... or for us all to let it go if they think its a storm in a teacup.

How is writing a letter 'mob rule'? and how exactly is CaleyD encouraging it by simply stating whats in the guidelines? You are correct, this site does not allow 'mob rule', it says that right in our terms .... However, we DO allow users to use the facility we have in place to make a complaint, which we then consider .... which - in terms of the compliance officer/committee - is what CaleyD is drawing attention to and which is more closely comparable to the letter writing scenario. You also conveniently forget to include the part where CaleyD mentions he would try to find out if the club had complained .... If you are going to try and denigrate the admin or moderators please at least be truthful and straightforward about it and call us out when we do actually say (or do) something wrong rather than twisting words or making assumptions or deductions that are not actually there. Otherwise, please dont let the door hit you on the way out .....
