  1. Wanting to get down for this, taking the supporters bus for the first time if there's one. Dundee haven't beaten us in the 3 matches since that CC Final, but we have yet to win at Dens.

  2. Had a nightmare last season and was probably in need of a fresh start elsewhere following it, its his first sacking so i hope he bounces back from it. A great manager...no question about it.

  3. I suppose it was always coming after Bolton were relegated and made a poorish start in the championship. Nevertheless, a good bloke and good manager who won't be out of work for long I'd bet.

  4. No problem with ALBA in englandshire. Channel 168. Agree with weddings in fitba season. Do guys not stand up for themselves when organising dates!! I had to use a perfectly good away day v Hibs a couple of weeks ago, at a wedding in Carrbridge. Have to admit, was a crackin day though. Many years ago I was at a wedding which had the traditional line up where guests going into the reception dinner congratulated the bride and groom as they went in. The line shuffled in at a reasonable pace but suddenly stopped for a few minutes as one elderly gentleman took an inordinate amount of time shaking hands with the groom and appeared to be engaged in a one-sided conversation. The remainder of the line were starting to get impatient as they wanted to get their scran down and start the real celebration and really enjoy their Saturday night. There was almost an audible sigh of relief as the gentleman let go of the groom's hand and stepped away allow the line to continue as before. It wasn't until after the honeymoon that the groom told me what had happened. His uncle had grabbed his hand, said "well done son, you've got yourself a cracker there" and, pulling him closer, started to recite the scores for all the Divisions starting with the top and working downwards!

  5. After finally managing to secure the day off, I can confirm I've officially signed up. REALLY looking forward to meeting some new team mates and get the craic at training on Thursday. Barry Wilson and John Robertson have been instrumental in helping us acquire fellow legends to play, as has Mike Noble. Jim Calder will be in sticks for the legends and I believe Charlie Christie is also taking part. Plenty other great names in there too. Even if you are not taking part or know anyone who is, why not come along and watch. It'll be a great day out and a chance to see your fan representation tackle your heros. A cash bar will be available after the game also. Kick off is 2pm, Sat 13th October

  6. As I said in another thread, he was nothing but poor. I don't want to make an excuse for him, but he's not the only ref with exactly these problems. BTW, our friend Madden had the Germany vs Faroe qualifyer tie just after his "show" at Tynecastle, and didn't look too confident to me, though he couldn't do much wrong. Extraordinary pressure lowers confidence, without confidence it gets more and more difficult to do even the basic things right. Same with players, look at Shane Sutherland in the first few games. Excessive TV replays are exactly the reason for all this pressure and the problems we have in football in our time.
