  4. Ditto to caley100s owain Tudor jones comment. Thought we were at our best when play was going through him with the ball on the deck. St Johnstone were at their most dangerous when we played kick and run up to billy. I have to comment on billy too though. He was different class. Held the ball up, ran the channels, scored, and the forced a fantastic save from Mannus. He turned the st Johnstone defenders like milk. Another great performer was Graeme shinnie, outstanding. Won a penalty, cut through the st Johnstone midfeild like a hot knife through butter, and kept the saints winger at bay. Can't ask more from a full back. And a special mention for dave 'the rave' raven solid performance again. The confidence from the results has clearly translated into his performance and he can fair whip in a cross when the opportunity presents itself. Well played. On a sour note a mr Andrew macdonald changed his allegence on the 90th minute and thought it a good idea to give Alan Mannus the ball back ASAP instead of keeping it as a momento. This cost is the game. IMO. And it's all hi fault.

  5. Just in from the game and I thought it was a pretty competitive match on the whole. Both teams were on form, so on paper it was probably a good score. As mentioned above, the first half was pretty much stalemate. Nothing of note, just both teams attacking at each other for 45 minutes. The second half was bit more livelier than the first with the obvious penalty and the 2 goals. I have to say that I thought Billy McKay is building up in confidence and it starting to merit his 2 year contract.Terry sees the training more than we do so obviously knew Billy had some talent. I also thought that David Raven is starting to come onto a game too as is our other 3 in the defence. It will be interesting to see what Terry does when Simon King returns to full fitness. It's actually a good feeling to have a steady backfour compared to last season. I thought Andrew Shinnie was his usual self today being creative but the penalty was pretty awful. He should of just hit it down the middle and not to the car park but you can't score them all I suppose. St Johnstone's goal was pretty inevitable at the end I have to say. A free kick which was pretty dodgy and a hoof up the park - you just knew. I can't really fault the players too much over it. Hopefully, we keep playing the way we're playing just now and get a result at the Sevco and finally get a long overdue trip to Hampden!

  6. Now that we seem to be getting our fair share of penalties again, its time we found a more reliable scorer of them. Is that the second one A Shinnie has missed? And the one he scored against Dundee utd the other week was anything but convincing.

  7. Oh well, that's a shame. I had got my hopes up because I work on the principle that a foreign player with an exotic name MUST be good. There are no exceptions to this rule.
