Starchief, I get what you're saying, it was like when I first heard Terry Butcher after years of listening to Brewster. But if you compare Terry and Kenny, on the one hand you have a very upbeat, jovial, well mannered, passionate, original orator and then you have Kenny, a bitter, arrogant, deluded, egotistical liar. Standing out from the crowd is one thing, being a complete tool is another thing entirely. You aren't wrong about his record, he won silverware, and did try to keep a settled, solid squad. And therein lies the rub. He's been given the elbow because of his behavior. PR is important to a club, goodness only knows what he was coming out with in front of sponsors and investors...

The club will be hoping it will make as many of us as possible about 50 pounds lighter.....

OK - lets get to the nitty gritty - surely there must be promising youngsters in Scotland who must have the same potential as the Magnificent Seven ? This latest recruitment drive could be termed to be "racist" in the footballing sense.Sorry but SPL sides should be blooding Scottish yoof in the best interests of the future of Scottish football.

From the shoulders and neck above Foran looks like he has been stuck on and is wearing a former home strip.

Now I am being serious in stating that this strip shows that the old callings are still having an effect today. The blue fecks up the whole strip. That didnt happen with the last red and black top so why this ?

It's certainly different! I'll have to see in the flesh to properly form an opinion, but that collar if it weren't blue would improve it dramatically. The black and red, and then a very prominent blue collar looks a bit weird. Imagine as well, if it was as it is, but just plain black. The pinstripes ruin it IMO.

Get rid of the blue and it might look ok .

This is incredible - I have been reliably informed that we have resurrected the careers of Bob Marley, Harry S Truman, Curtis Stigers and Chris Evans - that band could be entertaining and we have the perfect political foil.

Scarlet - low down - very good player and if it was down to football quality I would have him in my team NOW - and I hear that he has matured and he is good banter - and that to me is a positive. But at ICT he was an erse hole and a liability. The waters under the bridge have ebbed and flowed too much to have him back. But look forward to the banter next season.

Get all the ten to sixteen year olds together in North stand and have them rehearse songs and chants in harmony ready for the new season.

Charles B. why do you hate Dougal so much? He's different perhaps, but so are a few others, including Scarlet who is so different when he is on form that even his Daddy Pimpernel can't cope with him, so he shakes his bright and breezy head and just walks away carrying an "I surrender" flag in his right hand hoisted high. What would happen to this site if everybody who had a different opinion than yourself was thrown out at the first statement? I welcome different opinions than my own because that's why I come on here and furthermore, if I can't justify mine without descending to acidic, viperish, vituperative put-downs, then Scarlet is in real trouble. And what difference does it make whether a poster comes from Inverness and does not understand the local vernacular that well or from Germany where, incidentally, I note that at least one intelligent poster comes from and does tune-in to this site very well indeed? Why do you have to go "joupeen over the gate" instead of simply jumping over it ? Is this some rite of passage from intellectualism to common-manism that you feel is necessary to convince other posters that you are just another ordinary guy in the street thus justifying your opinions and language and getting their tacit support. Forgive me Charles, but I get the impression that you only go after those in this way whom you consider to be vulnerable and perhaps not the favorite posters on the site but when up against a stronger opponent you tend to backtrack and joke your way out of the morass that is forming around you that frankly is of your own making. No doubt in your profession, being an icon of admiration from the students, you have a hard time adjusting to the real world in which the average man or woman has to grit it out facing challenges from adults, not children, which tests their will and attitudes to the limit. I have always yearned for a place in cloistered academe as my glorious fantasy but, alas, alack , it has always been Scarlet's fate to have to face the rough and tumble of life's brutal realities and never wear a mortar board and gown to earn respect. As for Dougal I don't know how he has lasted so long on this site in the face of such unfeeling rejections of his views and frankly I admire his persistence and his spirit. And if you study his remarks carefully enough, without allowing your emotions to get the better of you, then there are some interesting references and views expressed by same, de temps en temp. Dougal is a burr under your saddle, Charles, and long may it continue and you should just hope that he doesn't one day come after you with such intense sarcasm and ill-considered remarks by way of riposte or we shall see at that point how long you stay in the field of battle to suffer the slings and arrows....

Strachan is entertaining, Holloway is entertaining, but Shiels - the man has an ego the size of Derek Adam's chip, and blinkers that would do a mammoth. He lost me when he started moaning about travelling to Inverness. Good riddance I say.

Looks like Kennie Shiels is offski. Kilmarnock are "reviewing" his position, i.e he's for the chop. In my opinion he's been a blight on the Scottish game, and an embarrassment to Killie. Unfortunately though, that means Killie will be on the up...

Now now Dougal it was established long ago why RC had higher average attendances.... 1. They count eyes, not heads. 2. Most have 2 heads as a result of in-breeding, and 3. They can't actually count. It's just widely estimated guess work.

Normally I'm of the belief that "the table doesn't lie" and the best team finishes top, the second best team finishes second, etc... But I just don't think St.J were the third best team in the league last season at all. In fact I think they were pretty poor, so I'll be interested to see what happens to them.
