  1. I'd buy a gold plated scoreboard.
  2. I would encourage anyone who is still swithering to go and book. Its a great deal especially for youngsters. I look back with fond memories to our Scottish cup giant killing days, the camaraderie, the togetherness of our fans en masse and the belief that our team can take on anyone and win. Be part of the ICT bus convoy and be part of a good day out.

Yes. He was clearly a talented young player with potential. He was maybe a bit over confident and perhaps not as good as he thought he was. He could maybe have worked a bit harder for the team but that was then and this is now. He is back because he chose to come back. He could have sat out his more lucrative contract with Stevenage where he was playing regularly. Young players mature and learn from past mistakes. He's only just back in the door. Give him a chance.

I know, his free kicks were shocking: Also while browsing for that goal, I found this belter:
  5. I think Vincent Tan could do a good job for us
  6. Agreed, tout him around in the press and sell our best asset, we lack a back up and the ability to score goals from other players. The optomism of the league and cup runs is already starting to evaporate..............I don't mind Billy or any player leaving to play at a better standard for more money, but please wait til the summer and deliver us at least a national final, think about how they got into the position to be made a better offer to start with!!!

I for one am delighted he is back. Given our injuries, suspensions and his knowledge of the Scottish game, I think some good business has been done. He knows the area and it's benefits and limitations so he obviously wants to be here. That goes a long way as far as I'm concerned.

He was a bit of a luxury first time around. Lots of fancy touches, turns, drags etc. And always going for the spectacular driven pass. But he started to adapt and come good towards the end of that season. To be fair, he might have been a victim of circumstances. We were in a relegation dogfight and playing some dire football. His style might be much better suited to our current team.
  9. Well, Billy is the leading all-time scorer in the North derby, with 6 goals in 8 games...obviously likes playing against the Dons!
  10. If you won 50-60 Million would you be that worried about free food and drink
  11. What and make us play in red tops ;-)
  12. my cynical side was considering this as actually a bit of a sales push along the lines of " look folks he is still here, so come on be good to us and give us a chance to replace him...you know we will sell" hope not though
  13. Much better and safer in the long run for clubs to live within their means.
  14. This should probably be a new thread. We are now discussing a totally different limited company from the one that was liquidated then.
  15. Fair enough Davie, I appreciate the effort you and your entourage made on your pilgrimage to Hampden but in all honesty I could have told you the outcome long before you even made the journey The Scottish Sun saved the day and if that was a knock on effect from your meeting then fair play Dougal Don't forget to book your bus Dougal, or are you getting a hotel on Saturday night in Edinburgh on your way back from the County game in Killie?
  16. Butcher has said not interested so you are probably right he is on his way to Easter Road.

He scored the only penalty he took for us! I'll update the 'penalty-kick takers?' thread appropriately if he signs! He'd currently be up-there on 100%, alongside Doran (2/2), Vincent (1/1) and Draper (1/1).
  18. With due respect, this business of football matches being used as outlets for grief, appreciation or whatever is getting a bit ridiculous. And the 'minutes played significance' is ridiculous. Sorry if I sound callous but it's a football match. There are other ways of showing respect such as attending the funeral. The tragic deaths recently of youth players is different and I can understand Remembrance Day as a time to stop, respect and wonder what may have been, but that was for hundreds-of-thousands of men and women giving their lives to secure the future of our country. However, the passing of an individual fan is obviously a sad time for those who know him - but should not necessarily be acknowledged by a round-of-applause - particularly at the minute signifying his age. Mikey Diamond got no recognition in this respect nor would he have expected or wanted it. I think the club got it right by not commemorating his passing in this manner because once the precedent is set, where do you draw the line?
  19. I think we will play: Brill Raven Meekings Devine Tremarco Polworth Shinnie Watkins Doran Williams McKay
  20. I know it's a fiver more than last year but I fail to see how paying the same price for a national semi final as a bog standard league game is anything other than great value especially if you throw in a 300 mile round trip for a tenner.
