So my brother Chas decides to go on a 5day 1600 mile trip from Southeast London on his motor bike and takes in Inverness...'drop into Caley Thistle' I say, so last Tuesday he did just that at 8 in the morning and lo and behold the first person he see's is the Chairman....'Hello' says Chas 'I've driven all the way up from Kent, and my brother supports your club and flies up to see matches here'...... and the very nice Mr Cameron invites him in, shows him around the ground and the Trophy room and also gives him a signed team photo for me! My brother describes our Chairman as a 'really nice guy' he also rather liked the City I think there could be two of us on the plane up next season .... and possibly my wife and eldest daughter will be paying visits too! Can't wait for next season

When ICT aren't at home and I can't manage Caley Away I do quite enjoy going to Lister Park. City have done very well for themselves and a game against ICT would be a well deserved nice wee payday for them.

Some stats to ponder Average home league attendances over last three seasons have been 11/12 - 4023. 12/13 - 4037. 13/14 - 3558. We played 19 home games in each of those seasons. 11/12 season had Rangers yet average was less than 12/13 with County. We had two home games against County and averaged 6258. This season we had one home game against County and a crowd of 4332. That equates to an average crowd drop of 1926. Statisticians looking at those figures could deduce that, if County are taken out of the equation, our gates are actually up. The fact is our crowds for 13/14 dropped by 479 but the average against County dropped by 1926 therefore our crowds for all games barring County are up by 547. Think we can blame County for our drop this season.

I know we all have opinions on the reasons why but effective market research by the club could surely identify reasons why people aren't attending and ways that it could be changed, maybe they feel they do this already but the figures are suggesting otherwise. I would also maybe try sending a club rep out to other clubs to see how they attract fans, start with Norwich City, pretty much 90% of their stadium taken by season ticket holders...what are they doing to draw in these numbers, the negatives among us will say premier league football and higher marketing and playing budgets but surely there are things to be learned from clubs that are doing it the right way, if you shoot that down try a lower league English club who attract large numbers, there are plenty. It's that attitude I hate, a shop can't just open its doors and expect people to walk in...you are a business and it's your responsibility to make people want to be a part of your brand, a crap poster here or there isn't going to make that happen. I dragged my girlfriend along with me to the home game against Killie a few months ago and she did not enjoy the matchday experience at all, and it wasn't the football on show that offended her. If you are going to complain about low attendances surely raising the experience for people that come along with their other halves/kids/friends is the way to do it. Make attending a caley game a great day out for everyone, not just the pure football fans. That doesn't mean spending a tonne of cash on a half time show, but cant we do better than two kids walking around with a sign?! Take a look at the Glasgow Warriors match day experience, there are a lot of improvements that can be made.

ABE now for sure. What is with the English obsession that Scottish people should support them. There is enough people in England they don't need our support. Rivalry is a major part of football, will Tottenham fans be supporting arsenal today as they are a London team? There is a particular fetish they have about Scottish people supporting their country and mock outrage when they say they don't care. Although it seems it's not just restricted to Scotland. If you watch the breakfast tv programmes especially the arrogance that everyone should care about the England football team is quite funny. Last time they would ask any American actor interviewed if they would be supporting England, when their own team was in the competition and in England's group. Shakira was also interview and got the same question! Why do they think that a Colombia married to one of the Spanish players would be supporting England. I wonder if Austrian's get asked every year if they will be supporting Germany.

Charlie knows the game and I'm sure the club wouldn't be stupid enough to try and get the boy on the cheap. He's one of the best prospects I've seen in many years and certainly the best we've had in our short history. The boy is also pretty academic with 6 straight A's in his Highers a couple of years ago so he isn't the typical professional footballer who has very little to fall back on. Good luck to the lad because I know his old man was a hard taskmaster when it came to his football and studies. Good upbringing and the boy deserves all the success he achieves through hard work and keeping his feet firmly on the ground.

Well I now agree that this has reached a level of cyberbullying and has gone past banter. There are some things being posted that simply are not funny. Perhaps peeple should not make comments to peeple they do not know. An individual with emotional sensitivity, impulsiveness and literal, concrete thinking may struggle with this.

Ryan wasn't even born when ICT started out! Interestingly, if you count back 9 months from his 28/4/95 birthday, you get suspiciously close to ICT's first ever game on 30/7/94!

Its our of our hands, it looks like they will have to get more points than Rangers,or Hibs

We got our transfer business done early last close season and that seemed to work well with the squad gelling which, in my view, helped get us off to a flying start. Would be good if we could manage to do something similar this year.
