  1. Confirmation that Christie has been called up for the Scotland U21 game against Hungary in Budapest on Thurs 26th March. http://scottishfa.co.uk/scottish_fa_news.cfm?page=2986&newsCategoryID=6&newsID=14461
  2. Totally agree 12th Man - the smart alec comments from Renegade etc. do little to give the young man or the club much deserved praise. I've just listened to young Christie's interview on ICT twitter and he speaks very well, seems very down to earth and talks about the club in a very positive manner. For our club to have a young player win the SPFL young player of the month and get an U21 call up in a couple of days is tremendous news and I am delighted for him and his family. I only hope he will stay and perform for ICT for a good while yet and then maybe earn a move his talent deserves.
  3. That is exceptionally poor, and only goes to reinforce the impression we already held that they had scant regard for the Highland teams beyond the odd condescending remarks. Onwards and upwards lads! We are countering their scorn in the best way possible - with results. We cannot force them to talk about us, but we can make it difficult to ignore us.

Once again the best left back in the land is scandalously omitted from the national squad. Anyone prepared to bet against him suddenly coming to Strachan's attention next season ?

Yep!, I reckon he'll be in a Scotland squad next year. As a non-Inverness player!! Strachan's best days at Aberdeen were in the 80s when Caledonian and Inverness Thistle were still playing Highland League - he'll obviously have a subconscious disdain for these clubs.
  6. So, in summary, only the OP thinks this is remotely good idea.
  7. Team are at McDairmid tuesday night with 6 pm k.o
  8. 1. Avoiding automatic relegation spot (earliest ever for us in top flight) 2. Top 6 assured (earliest ever) 3. Cannot be relegated via the play-off (earliest ever) 4. ICT record for longest time without conceding a goal (616 minutes) 5. Joint record for number of Manager of the Month awards (2 for JH) 6. First Scottish Cup semi-final as top flight side 7. 3rd semi-final in a row 8. Yet another season finishing above the shadow dwellers!! 9. Equal highest 'Young Player of the Month' awards for the club in a season (x2) 10. Record number of 'Young Player of the Month' awards for an individual (2 for Ryan Christie) 11. A record 5 'Monthly' awards for Inverness in a season (x2 Hughes Manager, x1 Draper Player, x2 Christie Young Player) 12. Equal most 'Manager of the Month' awards in a season (x2 Hughes = Robertson & Butcher from 2004/05) 13. Record number of 'Manager of the Month' awards for an individual in a season (2 for John Hughes)
  9. Just thought of another one. With Hughes having x2 'manager' awards this season, and Christie also having x2 'young player' - add in Draper's Player of the Month - that's 5 SPFL monthly awards the club has achieved - I've checked this! Another record! A record 5 'Monthly' awards for Inverness in a season (x2 Hughes Manager, x1 Draper Player, x2 Christie Young Player)
  10. Pedantry alert! Changing no.6 to include 'Scottish Cup' as no.7 otherwise doesn't make sense! 1. Avoiding automatic relegation spot (earliest ever for us in top flight) 2. Top 6 assured (earliest ever) 3. Cannot be relegated via the play-off (earliest ever) 4. ICT record for longest time without conceding a goal(616 minutes) 5. Joint record for number of Manager of the Month awards (2 for JH) 6. First Scottish Cup semi-final as top flight side 7. 3rd semi-final in a row 8. Record number of 'Young Player of the Month' awards for an individual (2 for Ryan Christie)
  11. Yeah, Ryan's two Monthly awards equals the two we got in 2012/13 when Doran and Meekings won them!
  12. Simply a terrible idea and should be buried once and for all. A far better idea would be for Scotland to have full national representation in all Olympic sports but we all know what it will take for that to happen.
