  1. It would be ridiculous and unfair to terminate a player's contract for a first offence of this nature. The fact that he's a fringe player should make no difference at all to the process or the punishment (if guilty). If it was our star player, say Billy Mckay in his prime, would fans be saying he should never play for the club again? No of course not, we would all be saying he deserves a second chance.

  4. Disgraceful. Good to see the club taking immediate action on this.

  5. Mutumbo and Sho Silva fit again. according to this article. I know, it's the Record but it's potentially good news nonetheless.

  7. Is there an offence like "impersonating a footballer" ? If there was Dani could say that he is not fit to plead.

  8. Thanks for the replies. Duncan Shearer is a true Swindon Town great and will never be forgotten. Adam Rooney scored a few goals but was not exceptional. Lee Cox appeared to be a good player but, like Miles, was never really given a chance. Owain Tudur Jones joined us on loan, started brightly then faded and moved on after his loan spell. Maurice Malpas was appointed manager when a wealthy Consortium took over at a point when it looked as if the club would fold: not an envious task. He was appointed by the then Chairman whose aim was to make the club self sufficient. It was a difficult job for Maurice and he earned the tag of emotionless. We ended up with Paolo DiCanio but that is a different story. Don't worry Ronaldo, Miles could score close to a goal a game and Mark Cooper would probably consider this underachieving and when the goal return fell back to say one in two then he would be right. Sorry to go on a little. Best wishes to all.

  9. Dear Mickey, Unfortunatley, Miles is rubbish and been playing very poorly and I would like you to pass this onto your manger. However, since we are decent folk up here and we took him on loan, I think we are obliged to work on him and keep him here for the rest of the season Hope this willl be ok and tell your manager not to worry.

  10. Do you know the specific case likely to be put to the player? Until the referee's report is received, and to ensure a fair hearing, the player will get a chance to argue his case with legal or other representation. I believe that this club is fair, will listen, will take specialist advice, and in the end take the right decision based on the player's contract. There will of course be a right of appeal by the player, but not by the club, if the decision is not one accepted by the player. Does anyone remember this legal case? http://www.theguardian.com/football/2004/jun/22/newsstory.sport3 Let's move on and see if we can repeat the result on grass this Saturday without a player who at times actually looked interested in the game at Motherwell when recalled to the team.

Administration pending, unless... How can we go from SupercaleygoballisticCelticareatrocious in the year 2000, to Scottish Cup Winners in 2015, playing in Europe and just 9 years after lifting the Cup; Administration. Mismanagement and our demise was hastened by the appointment of Scot Gardiner. Ever since then, ludicrous decision making has seen our stock plummet whilst 'shady' dealings were investigated. The failed Concert Company, the Battery Storage, the Statkraft contract have all ended badly leaving the club facing insolvency.

That's another fine mess you've got us into.

      Chairman Ross Morrison resigns

Nothing official from the club as we speak, but the Inverness Courier are running with a story that Ross Morrison has resigned at 18:00 tonight 3rd June.  More to come as this story develops, but most fans are looking for more heads to roll.

Speaking exclusively to The Inverness Courier, Mr Morrison said he is leaving now because of the aftermath of the Fife move. “I believe it [the move to Fife] is the best way forward and I have to stick with my beliefs,” Mr Morrison said. “This is the reason I'm stepping down now.”

Reflecting on his time with the Caley Thistle, Mr Morrison said: “My six-year tenure with the club has had some great and some not so great times but through everything I was immensely proud to be the chairman of the club and clubs I’ve supported for 50 years - I was a Jaggie by the way.

“I would ask the fans to rally round the club at this time and show their support by not only purchasing their season tickets but also getting involved directly with the club to see how they can help.

“Hearing fans saying they would prefer administration to training the first team in Kelty sent a shiver down my spine. Administration is a desperate thing to happen to a club and must, at all cost, not happen to ICTFC.”
