  1. Ritchie Foran has pulled a master stoke in getting Jake Mulraney's signature. He will be a fans favourite because he is what you pay your money in for. Lightening quick, off the cuff, direct winger with amazing feet. He's turned down 2 championship clubs to come and play for Ritchie. Top player, person , huge future ahead of him and brave enough to come to the SPL to ensure game-time to progress his career.Best of luck to him .

  2. Not misleading at all.....I clearly state that the variation with the change of wording wasn't first used until about 6 months ago.

  3. I love the cleaner version of the badge, especially for media and design use. Can't seem to shift the feeling of tackyness that the club badge includes that motto though. The motto itself, aye I'm ok with it but using it on the clubs official identity, I just can't seem to like. Almost childish. All for it on fan gear and merchandise though for folks to pick up of their choosing.

  5. Appreciation and gratitude to Gringo for once more giving up a chunk of his precious free time over the course of the next ten months or so to run this now venerable as well as much loved competition. Good luck to all those taking part. Can Andrew be toppled from his perch ?

  6. You seem to be the one showing contempt for those who see this as a concern. No-one else is shouting you down or making puerile posts aimed to denigrate others' opinions (and making a very basic historical mistake in the process). FWIW, I don't think I was showing contempt for the use of an (already established) abbreviation of the club name, and I have absolutely no issue with it being used on fan merchandise, social media etc. I could care less in these places (and on here) whether we are called ICTFC, Inverness CT, Caley Thistle, Caley Jags, or Inverness Caledonian Thistle FC ... its all the same ... However, I do have an issue if it is to replace the official branding of the club on the crest which (apart from the first season) has been Inverness Caledonian Thistle FC. The badge can be tweaked to suit, it has already been done, and was kept within the original parameters, just made less complicated for manufacturers or printers to replicate. If we are to tweak the club name officially to the abbreviated version then that is a far larger change worthy of more discussion. Sorry I could not be in North East Scotland to support the youngsters on Saturday .... I was sitting in the emergency room (A&E) in Toronto with my two year old son who was feeling unwell. that's called #priorities !!! (he's fine now BTW) : PS - only one #keyboardwarrior in this thread and its not me ... The people who made the re-design and the officials of the club all know who I am and whilst we may agree or disagree on the odd thing we can (and do) respect each other. Even for those who dont know me, I post under my first name not a pseudonym and am never hard to find. Incidentally - as for the kit itself - from the pictures I have seen so far I think it looks like a cracker and once I am sure it fits CaleyD I will definitely be getting my hands on one (the size guide on JD website seems a little 'tight') ... May even get the vanilla one (with a small v ;) ) too .

  7. Yeah, they did!!! It's been used on the website and social media....not for everything, but here's a few examples.

  8. If the fans want to use that slogan themselves then that's fine but it shouldn't be something the club should be latching onto. Sticking it on the badge seems massively egotistical to me and makes it look like we have a massive chip on our shoulder.

  9. Very strange that someone has decided to change our name to ICTFC from Inverness Caledonian Thistle FC - A DISGRACE - What in earth was wrong with the original club identification? This "Pride of the Highlands" garbage should not be part of our official Club Badge!

  10. Me neither. Proper club crest should be shown on the players shirts without the caption. Keep that for the t-shirts / leisure wear.

  12. Very encouraging comments from the manager. Entertaining football and player recruitment being his priorities. Bodes well for the forthcoming season and beyond.

  13. Rangers just signed Clint Hill who is 37, so in terms of age it doesn't really matter. I definitely think signing McNaughton could be a fantastic piece of business for our club.

  14. Imagine getting offended by abbreviating our fairly long name on the club crest!

  15. well if that's how you feel why abbreviate fc? should you not refer to the club as Inverness Caledonian Thistle Football Club at all times? and I'm pretty sure ICTFC does have some identification with our club, maybe in that it is the clubs name abbreviated?? move with the times! the merger happened a wee while ago now.......

  16. more people have shown contempt for the use of an abbreviation than bothered to support the youngsters on Saturday! #keyboardwarriors

  17. the new club crest, which should be easily replicated on the new shirts. I'm sending it off to Cabrini just now, so it'll get onto all the pre-orders.

Administration pending, unless... How can we go from SupercaleygoballisticCelticareatrocious in the year 2000, to Scottish Cup Winners in 2015, playing in Europe and just 9 years after lifting the Cup; Administration. Mismanagement and our demise was hastened by the appointment of Scot Gardiner. Ever since then, ludicrous decision making has seen our stock plummet whilst 'shady' dealings were investigated. The failed Concert Company, the Battery Storage, the Statkraft contract have all ended badly leaving the club facing insolvency.

That's another fine mess you've got us into.

      Chairman Ross Morrison resigns

Nothing official from the club as we speak, but the Inverness Courier are running with a story that Ross Morrison has resigned at 18:00 tonight 3rd June.  More to come as this story develops, but most fans are looking for more heads to roll.

Speaking exclusively to The Inverness Courier, Mr Morrison said he is leaving now because of the aftermath of the Fife move. “I believe it [the move to Fife] is the best way forward and I have to stick with my beliefs,” Mr Morrison said. “This is the reason I'm stepping down now.”

Reflecting on his time with the Caley Thistle, Mr Morrison said: “My six-year tenure with the club has had some great and some not so great times but through everything I was immensely proud to be the chairman of the club and clubs I’ve supported for 50 years - I was a Jaggie by the way.

“I would ask the fans to rally round the club at this time and show their support by not only purchasing their season tickets but also getting involved directly with the club to see how they can help.

“Hearing fans saying they would prefer administration to training the first team in Kelty sent a shiver down my spine. Administration is a desperate thing to happen to a club and must, at all cost, not happen to ICTFC.”
