Marcus Rashford, Wayne Rooney etc etc. Only way to get experience and fitness is to play against the big boys.
  2. It's a bad draw. A quick glance through their squad shows they have core of players with experience at higher levels, and obviously they're in great form. Also, there are no pubs anywhere near the ground.
  3. Indeed it would. Who would score our goals?
  4. Play all Friday night football on a Saturday at 3pm.
  5. Scottish Cup would have precedence.
  6. That will please the section of our support who like a microwaved curry before the football.

George Oakley announced on Twitter he's back next week.
  8. Ah, the good old days of Wyness and Ritchie in their pomp - they were a formidable pairing but the likes of a potent striking duo like that don't come around too often unfortunately.

Pretty sure he started in the U18s win v Killie less than 24hrs before, scoring 2 goals. Tough shift to travel down to Kilmarnock, play a match, travel back, then after a sleep jump back on a bus to Dundee and start a senior game...
  10. Am I imagining this or does the team have quite good control so long as the ball stays on the deck, but lobbing in high balls seems to not be skilled enough yet. They can score from corners but they should keep the ball on the turf to really penetrate the defences?
  11. Donaldson and McKay have racked up quite a few yellows this season - could end up with both being suspended at the same time... which would be interesting/terrifying!
  12. As DD says, a club used to winning. No room for complacency.
  13. Robbo, Baz and Kells and all the 1st team squad bar Brad who has had a family bereavement. Jim Oliver, Emma Williamson and some bar/waiting staff as well. Usual format. Chat, food and QandA. Very well attended and good night.
