  1. Ah come on, Robbo has won me over and basically because he gets the best out of what he has! To say he's a failure is pathetic, his first year he ended 5th, only a point behind the last play off place, last season, only County and Utd were ahead of us and this season, only Utd and they were miles ahead. Add the cup quarters, semis and challenge cup final he has got us too, one thing he certainly isn't, is a failure! As for rebuilding, I also disagree with that as only a 2-3 players have left.
  2. Still brings a tear to the eye after 20 years. A lot of people thought we were mad going back down on a Tuesday night for the game but Bhoy it was worth it
  3. Alan. Use lockdown to get some of your demons out. Stokes is not the answer, accept it. Also accept that we can't just go and buy a 'shankland' who will score 25 goals. Accept that Storey has limitations. Accept that some 'small teams' might be better than you expected. Just be more accepting in general. Hope you accept this advice. Peace and love. John Rober ....ts
  4. As Barry Wilson commented, a lot of the aftermath was about how bad Celtic were (we certainly weren't given the credit our performance deserved). Still, great memories (it was made all the sweeter after the last minute call off of the originally scheduled match).
  5. Blimey ..this was the game when Caley first came to my attention and which would eventually lead to me following the team and planning trips up to Scotland to watch either at home or away. I was driving back from somewhere and was listening to the Sports on Radio 5 Live and getting the updates...it came across as a big deal down south What I hadn't realised was that Ian Wright, a former hero at my other club Palace (but now at Celtic, at the end of his career) played the 2nd half against Caley! A comment on the programme noted that Wright had probably never been involved in such a shock..which had me thinking about when Palace beat Liverpool 4-3 in the FA Cup Semi Final the year we lost to them 0-9 at Anfield in the league. Interestingly John Barnes was involved in that match as well playing for Liverpool, a match as set in folklore as the Celtic-Caley match, I was getting congratulations from all and sundry for days after. Palace lost the final against Man United that year (and again against the same team in 2016, bugger!), whereas I was privileged to watch Caley beat Celtic in the Semi and then Falkirk in the Final in 2015, which stands as the pinnacle of my personal football supporting life thus far. And yes tonight's programme was a bit about how that game changed Celtic, but I felt we got a fair share of the coverage, and allowed me to get a bit closer to a key date in Caley's history

Got a bunch of photos from back in the day of a lot of the characters from this site. must go through and post them. ... but once upon a time I took my ICT scarf on holiday and it saw some strange and exciting places ... Camp Nou, Bernabeu, and the Sahara Desert in Morocco.

👋👋👋 Don't put yourself down lad. You are what you are. And all credit to you for just thinking about something to keep ICT fans together and in communication with each other.

We have our own page : https://www.facebook.com/CaleyThistleOnline/ where all our articles and stories from here are promoted, and a few years ago we also toyed with the idea of a group instead of this site (went as far as creating a test group - https://www.facebook.com/groups/2497130873636709/) ... but decided as a lot of our users were not on that platform and it did not give us the structure or the content that we have had for the last 26 years that we would just continue as is .... Is there something specific that Facebook groups offer that we do not on CTO which you would like to see? I tend to find most FB groups (and forums for that matter) run for a few months/years until the admin(s) lose interest then it just stops and slowly decays .... This forum is lucky in that we have a critical mass of users who literally keep it ticking over whether I or other admins are actively posting or not. Always happy to hear new ideas for features or to point users to features they may not be aware we already have --- like blogs, clubs/groups, downloads, photo galleries etc etc etc .....
