  1. Mind you given that it will be just for a few weeks, it should be more of an adventure for the young lad, especially as the clock goes forward and the weather gets warmer [All these things make a difference to how one feels IMHO] and restrictions are starting to ease. He'll be joining a team that is already playing youngsters not that much older than he is, and hopefully he'll get a few minutes of game time, which must be a plus for him. I'm sure they have thought about where he is staying during this time. Maybe more of a plus for him than us, but if he comes on late in a game and swings in a ball that leads to goal that gets us into the play-offs it's a win-win all round. I'm sure he will have spoken to Kennedy about us, can't be anything but positive [it's quite warm in David Carson's pocket]
  2. Another upset has seen Formartine beat Annan on penalties. A lot of credit to the Highland League tonight, particularly after the long lay off.
  3. Wonder why we didn't want it as much? Never mind... we could be Hearts supporters
  4. We were a very long way from our best but credit to part time Buckie for being so fit and competitive after such a long enforced layoff. The main thing is we are through and a potential banana skin avoided.
  5. Ignore it! Cant be long. In 92nd minute. Lyall on for Mackay.
  6. Very blustery conditions and a bobbly pitch make it difficult to play good football. Buckie look dangerous from balls into the box. We need an early goal into the 2nd half to make things a little more comfortable.
  7. This guy's actually worse then Andy Bannerman. Although he hasn't got any of the players wrong, simply by referring to them as the no 4, or the no 7, or the no 5, or the left back.
  8. Can see a young squad being played here. Correct me if I'm wrong, but is Shane Harkness back from Clach or was that a full season loan? Cammy will most likely get a start and Lyall will be played immediately hopefully. Losing here would be a MASSIVE dent in our season and will likely cause a huge loss in morale and might even make us end up throwing any hope of playoffs out the window, which isn't favourable in the slightest, especially considering there's only 6 games left to be played.
  9. Toddy took a knock on Saturday so may not be risked even if fully fit. I’d be cautious about throwing all of Nicolson, Fyffe, Hyde and Harkness in. Maybe start one and use the others off the bench if things are going well. We are without Mckay and Carson due to suspension, and some of the recent regulars may be in need of a breather with the important league games to come. On balance, I’d go with: MacKay Duffy Devine Deas McHattie Allardice Hyde MacGregor Keatings Storey Sutherland If Keatings is not ready, I’d move MacGregor to that role and start Mackay. As Gringo says, it will be interesting to see how many changes we make. The league has to be our priority but we can’t afford to slip up and risk damaging confidence for Saturday.
  10. Expression of the night: “Jings almighty referee soft”!!
  11. Wonder what the difference is between him and Kai. Unless the lad has family up here, I wouldn't see anyone of that age typically moving so far especially when they can't go home and visit family when they're not playing or training...
