  1. This is an excellent idea. I wonder if the could could bring out some kind of classic matches calendar featuring shots from famous games (Feb 8th 2000 and so on)? December would have to be a picture of Derek Adams greeting after that late Foran strike in the 2012 Scottish Cup tie though

  2. Cup of woe Morton took a first half lead just before the break when Robbie Muirhead shot home from outside the box into the bottom corner. Parity was restored a minute into the second half when a Doran free kick ended in the net, possibly aided by the head of Danny Devine or a Morton body. No further scoring sent the game to a penalty shoot-out. Plenty of good penalties on show and with Devine failing to score, Oliver put away the decisive ninth penalty to win the tie. That's our third penalty shoot-out failure this season; meh! Doran 1 - Reilly 1 McAlear 2 - Lyon 2 Allardice 3 - Ugwu 3 Jamieson 4 - Muirhead 4 Devine 4 - Oliver 5 Morton through 5-4 to face Motherwell. ÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷ This was the first of a double header against the 'Ton as we play them again on Saturday in the Championship. No doubt that is more important for both clubs, especially given our good result against Killie, and for different reasons given Morton's result against Ayr in the bottom half of the table, but a wee Cup run always cheers up the fans. With Gus MacPherson being relieved of his duties, the team will be led in the interim by Head of Youth Academy, Derek Anderson, supported by Assistant Manager Andy Millen and Reserve Team Coach, John Sutton. Storm Barra was beginning to kick in and travel conditions were getting chaotic throughout the day with the threat of a call-off lingering like a bad smell. Despite this, make it we did to Cappielow with an unchanged side and Manny Duku made the bench. Unfortunately for us, we failed to capitalise on another game that we largely dominated. Other than the goals, Shane Sutherland came close with a header but Hamilton pulled off an instinctive save from 5 yards to deny Caley Jags. 3. Well the Hibs fans were singing “Sacked in the morning…..” to him last night, and they were right! They’ve had a bad run over the last few weeks, but before that were near the top. I thought he’d get more time.

  4. It wasn't for the want of trying with the first visits to the Longman being in utero followed by infant sized strips. However, I am pleased and proud that they have decided to support their local team rather than one of the ugly sisters and sincerely hoping for the ability to rub their noses in league victories over the Dons again next season as once was so often the case in the past.

  5. It doesn’t feel good being out of the cup before Christmas, and we need to get a grip and starting to make and take chances when on top on games. We may be top of the league, but that is more through good luck than anything, and we will start to slip down it if we don’t get a grip soon. With Killie playing Raith and Partick playing Arbroath, a win on Saturday is a must to start stretching things a bit at the top, as at least two of our rivals will drop points. The club has published their report on last night’s game: https://ictfc.com/match-report-morton-1-1-ictfc-07-12-2021
