  1. Been following the score from Turkiye and delighted with the result - 5 league wins in a row, 4 of them away from home, that’s a great run.

  2. Yes, I'll take that. Table looks very pretty. Briefly we were top when Hamilton scored against Partick, but alas, they couldn't hold on. We'll have to avoid any complacency when we play Hamilton at home on Tuesday. Well done lads, a very encouraging run of league wins, let's keep it going!

  3. Job done and a 1-0 win. Still joint top and five wins on the spin, with the chance of going top on Tuesday. Late bookings for Oakley and Harper whilst Cove had a player sent off in stoppage time. Roll on Tuesday!

  4. Superb three points, especially when it looks like there were a couple of injuries. I was watching the scores come through on BBC Final Score, which was very nervy when we were only one goal to the good, but it proved to be good enough in the end. On to Tuesday night now against Hamilton, so let's not fall into the trap of taking the bottom club lightly, as we have tended to do on some occasions, and drop points, let's treat them the same way we treated Partick, and play at high intensity and fight for every ball, then, top of the league will be the reward.

  5. spoke with TM4TJ and most errors he gets are 522 errors. These are a nightmare to try and troubleshoot as its basically a connection error and that could range anywhere from the server being down to high traffic to firewall issues and a host of other technical issues. It can last for a fraction of a second or can be a prolonged problem. it's quite literally a digital needle in the haystack. 522 is a server-side error so it's not your connection, your provider or anything else on your side, it is the server. I will continue to look into it but pinning it down may be more to do with luck than any specific course of definitive action! I know our stats program can be a little heavy on resources as its using an old version of PHP but unfortunately, I am a little outside my scope trying to upgrade this myself so if anyone does have some mad PHP/MySQL skills please step forward W/regards to the ads - Our revenue has gone down nearly 80% in the last 6 months using what Google call "Auto-Ads". These are ads that are placed by them, optimized for size and position. These are still in place, but I have been trying to get revenue back up by placing them manually on pages where the auto-ads do not work. I have also enabled a adblocker message asking users to not block ads so if you have them blocked you may see this. If we don't make money from the ads, there will be no site, it's that simple. We have not used £10 shared hosting in a long time, and it costs somewhere close to US$2000 per year to host this site on a VPS server and pay for software maintenance, support and all other ancillary costs like domains and other stuff. I vowed to myself and family that while self-financing I would keep it going. Once it becomes a drain on personal finances then my options are limited and pulling the plug is a real possibility. Been doing it 28 years so it's not a bad run if it ends... although 30 is a nice number too and I am shooting for that (and beyond) if I can I have resisted the temptation to reinstate the "Vignette Ads" which Google keep telling me would increase revenue by 50% as it is clear from the first foray with Auto Ads that people don't like them and if people stay away because of the ads then 50% of $0 is $0! I will continue to review the ad situation and try to strike a balance between revenue and usability. I also get almost daily offers for "paid content" where I would get paid to publish betting or other spammy articles. We turn them all down (by ignoring them) purely because we have always thought "content is king". If anyone wants to help out with costs, donations are gratefully accepted, or you could become a "site sponsor" for £25 per year which removes all ads from your experience. Also - If anyone is able to set us up with a corporate sponsor then even better and you may get a few perks in return...

  6. Cove kept at Bay Our first visit to Balmoral Park on League business ended with a hard fought win, our fifth on the bounce. Inverness opened the scoring after twenty minutes through Steven Boyd, his first of the season. However Roddy MacGregor was helped off the pitch after being injured in the build up to that goal. Allardice stayed in the dressing room at the interval to be replaced by Lewis Hyde. Ridgers did well to deny Cove after the break and right at the end Cove were reduced to ten men as McIntosh was sent off. Still joint top as Partick also win with Dundee and Morton leading the chasing pack. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Billy Dodds named an unchanged side from the one that beat Partick Thistle last Friday. Roddy MacGregor would make his 99th appearance fot the Caley Jags, but that would be cut short, and Billy Mckay would be looking for his 86th goal since he first played for Inverness back in 2011. Jim McIntyre had Iain Vigurs on the bench. In a previous life Vigurs had scored 24 goals in 147 appearances for the Caley Jags. Inverness got the game underway in their Kingsmills strip on a bright afternoon in Cove. Within five minutes the two Mckays had efforts wide of the Cove goal, Billy going closer than Daniel. A warning for the visitors in the tenth minute when Megginson headed into the net but was adjudged to be offside. Cove were monopolising the early pressure though and Cieran Dunne went close with a shot from outside the box. However, it was the visitors that drew first blood from a less familiar name when Steven Boyd slotted home after great work by Billy Mckay. Unfortunately during the build up to the goal Roddy MacGregor was injured and had to be helped from the field with what looks like a nasty injury to be replaced by Aaron Doran. Five minutes before the interval Doran combined with Harper but his shot was too high and went over the bar. HALF TIME 0-1 Lewis Hyde replaced Scott Allardice at the interval and Cove replaced Dunne with Leighton McIntosh. Early corners for Cove at the start of the second half came to nothing and Boyd forced Kyle Gourlay into making a save to deny him from outside the box. Cove responded through dangerman Megginson but Mark Ridgers was equal to it to deny the striker from inside the box with a crucial save. Cove had their tails up and Ridgers then had to look lively to keep out a header from Jack Sanders. Play was opening out though and Dan Mackay saw a shot blocked at the other end. image from CaleyJags.com Ridgers saves from Megginson After the hour Connor Scully headed goalwards but Ridgers denied him with another save. Into the final ten minutes and substitute Gerry McDonagh was next to test Ridgers from six yards as Cove upped the pressure in search of an equaliser. Nathan Shaw had an effort saved by Gourlay as the clock ticked down after Doran fed him through on goal. Right at the death Leighton McIntosh was red-carded for violent conduct as Cove finished with ten men. FULL TIME: 0-1 Mark Ridgers was in tremendous form to keep Cove at bay and well done to Steven Boyd for opening his account with the all important goal. Cove fans were not happy about the offside decision. Downside of this game, which was a brutal contest, is more injuries to contend with which will likely see Allardice and MacGregore miss the Hamilton game in midweek. 9. Not a great display by any means, but we’ll take the three points. Pretty defensive in the second half, breaking out occasionally. Nervy stuff. Great away support. Spoiled by three lads at the back (not part of the main singing group) who were trying out the Ibrox Disaster song, cheering Lizzy in a Box and something about hoping someone dies in their sleep. That is just sick and weird, and embarrassing for the club. Don’t think they were quite the full shilling but even so. There are families in and about with kids wondering what the hell is wrong with some people. They need to be sorted out.

  10. About 10 to play. Oakley has replaced Mckay. Hyde replaced Allardice at half time: another injury? Doran and Deas have picked up bookings this half.

  11. 1 up. Steven Boyd. Worrying MacGregor replaced by Doran due to an injury. Hopefully not serious.
