Talking bout a revolution A trip to Dunfermline beckons this Saturday as Dunc's revolution picks up pace. Unbeaten since his arrival, the Caley Jags take on 5th place Dunfermline Athletic in another tough encounter. A win for Inverness would see Dunc's men climb above the Pars but it's big ask. David Wotherspoon scored twice and Billy Mckay crashed in a penalty in a dominant first half. The second half was an anti-climax with Ayr scoring a penalty of their own through Jamie Murphy. The points were more important than the performance and it pulled Inverness clear of the bottom team Morton. The defence did appear to be more rigid although we were found wanting at the equaliser. Nathan Shaw was the most likely to cause problems and so it proved. Pars were much more direct than us and you couldn't grudge them their point. However that point still leaves us floundering at the foot of the table with one point from a possible twelve. United lead in the first half through Fotheringham before Owen Moffat levelled the game ten minutes after the interval. Mochrie hit the winner with just five minutes left on the clock. Maybe if we stopped with the "We're entitled to...XYZ, just because we're a football club" attitude, it might help. Comments made elsewhere suggesting that consultant reports in support of the application were done on the cheap, and by the Chairman's own admission, we couldn't even get all the paperwork in on time. Add in the number of local businesses who lost large sums of money from the concert fiasco, and we've not exactly been making a lot of friends the last few years. The Trust is a separate entity. Remember when our CEO and Chairman went to great lengths to point out the importance of that with the concert company? How positions on these things can change to try and work a situation in your favour! It's also comical that the club consider themselves to be so hugely focused on the community, when they can't even manage simple fan engagement. Just another embarrassing episode in the Morrison/Gardiner tenure, regardless of whether planning is given or not.

For our rather uncommunicative board to respond in this way with a statement and video indicates that a refusal is a very serious setback to the club. Not good news.

I've started another topic specifically on the battery project now that the Chairman has posted a statement on the Club's website. What is important in relation to his attendance at the ST meeting last Saturday is that apart from talking about the battery project, he said he was really struggling to see how there was any way the Club could benefit from being located in the free port zone. That being the case, it would seem that the only prospect of the club getting more money in, over and above what the footballing side of things generates and continuing bailing out by the directors, is the battery project.

It's in the courier, a few articles above the council approving another 400 homes for Milton of Leys, which will trigger extra developer contributions.

I guess the whole concert saga has not helped their case.
